Oh look, just what I wanted to see. The canidates for President of the USA kowtowing to "God" and religion.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

He did a very good job of it though. Mentioning the Koran and Native American religious beliefs and how they are equally important was a good move.

Did you also notice Bush called it "The Almighty" and Kerry called it "A higher power"? You can tell right there who each is trying to get too with that.

President Bush does get easily tongue-tied, does he not?

In comparison, Kerry is quite the smooth talker.

Kudos to Bush on the light joke to the 'Strong Women' question. It was the first *and last* reponse with humor that worked.

If you listen carefully, you can tell that Kerry does occaisonally as well, but does an excellent job hiding it; making it seem intentional, maybe. Whereas Bush's pauses seem unnatural and sometimes silly.

I thought so too. Kerry then tried to do it himself and ended up just laughing at his own joke alone. Bush gets points for that.

A clean sweep of debate victories for Kerry. Although I'd say this one was Kerry's weakest performance of the three.

Kerry: "I don't care whether it's a Democrat idea or a Republican idea, as long as it's a good idea."

Scoring points with the moderates.

Well, no surprise that. Did anyone not think (on the Right or Left) that Kerry wouldn't best the President in these debates. He's an accomplished debater and politician afterall...

I only saw the last 40 minutes or so. The debate seemed very lukewarm compared to the last two.

Whenever Sean Hannity takes his mouth off Bush's cock called all three debates for Bush. I never doubt the sheer singlemindedness of partisans. Which reminds me - off to see Sean Hannity make an ass of himself

They both played it safe, by all appearances. Not very interesting.

Jegs, I've noticed that in every debate thread, you post very nonchalantly about how meaningless the debates are, and that the only reason Bush didn't do well is because Kerry's such a "master debater" ( :) sorry for the cheap pun). Maybe Bush isn't doing so well because he has to spin such an abysmal record into something good?

And in case you haven't noticed the polls lately, it seems many people are changing their votes, or people that were on the fence have come towards John Kerry because of the debates.

Nah, he's a horrible debator and has piss-poor verbal communications skills.

Not as much as he should, but then one wonders what those "on the fence" voted in the last election. Dollars to donuts, it likely wasn't Bush.
