Chris Hall's mother in law's grave was opened and her remaints stolen and is suspected to have been used to feed guinnepigs. Mr Hall & his brother raises animals for research purposes and have long been targeted by activists.

Anyone else heard of this insanity?

I caught this on the news yesterday morning and wondered what the hell was going on. Ironically, animal rights protesters were in the uni square today signing people up. I only hope they understand how many nutcases they have amid their ranks.

Yeah, I also read about it in Expressen yesterday. It really made me sick to my stomach. What a bunch of disgusting people.

If she was embalmed, wouldn't her flesh be dangerous to guinea pigs? And since when are guinea pigs carnivorous to begin with?

I keep guinea pigs as pets. They're herbivores, entirely so. They have a hard time penetrating your skin when they bite; mine would only nip at you when you annoyed them sufficiently. A boar is a little more aggressive, but they still eat grass and lettuce, not meat.

I'm somewhat confused where did anybody read that these “activists” were grave robbing in order to feed their guinea pigs? The kind of assholes who pull stunts like this try to feed their cats a vegan diets, feeding herbivorous rodents embalmed human corpses whilst similarly dumb would be totally out of character.

I didn't see that in the article either. As for where that was said, check the OP. I was pointing out that such is impossible, because they wouldn't eat it.

They'd probably eat it if you ground it up and mixed it in with their normal feed as extra protein.

Thanks for the clarification, I was really questioning Frank Hipper's initial post upon the whole mutant flesh eating guinea pig thing more than your reasoned follow up.

Maybe the activists in question have watched too much bad scifi and are attempting to breed an army of carnivorous guinea pigs with a taste for he Hall family in order that they may exact revenge upon behalf of their experimented upon brethren or something, that would make about much sense as the rest of the shit these guys pull.

If you mean that boars do not hunt as such you are correct but
boars do eat eggs, small reptiles, worms and carrion making them omnivores not herbivores.
If you are referring to male guinea pigs ignore this.

Fun fact: Cats cannot survive without meat while dogs and humans can albeit with some trouble.

So those arseholes trying to feed their cats a vegan diet is hurting it AND holding them to an inane idea.

I would use them for medical testing. Make it very clear to them as its being done that you're only doing it because they didn't want you to use animals.

Just a clarification. The original Swedish source speculated in the carnivorus guineapigs. None of the English versions I have seen repeat that though. Not that I doubt those lunatics wouldn't try something like it...
