I'm sure you're doing something blasphemous by even MENTIONING those two together! Something unpleasant, possibly cyclopean, but quite boring will doubtless happen to you... after you write it all down.

I like the heroic mythologies, like Celtic, Norse, Greek, Mesopotamian, etc. Its all quite similar (for obvious reasons), but it's much more human than established religion today. I find Egyptian stuff pretty artifical, don't know much about ole Ahura Mazda, and Eastern ancestor worship doesn't interest me.

OT is so bad, you can almost hear the whiny Hebrews. 'Babylon is huge! Um... I bet something bad will happen! Yeah, God will punish you... or something. I wanna big city tooooooooo'.

urban mythology, its the crap the first myths came from on a huge scale, the myths eat each other or are replaced every few years

scientology, they grade your soul on a point system, whats not to love.

the norse, Ragnarok was mad cool got to give respect, though to be fair they're hardly the only nor the first religon to have an ending tacked on.
but sacrificing an eye for knowledge and thor trying to race a thought are very cool, and in my opinion reflect a very logical mindset, either that or i'm a cynic

But yeah, Thor Rocks!

Norse all the way for me; Greek is a classic, but not terribly appealing to me. Egyptian is cool, Aztec a little better... but how can you beat the God of Thunder who can hurl lightning, has Mojolnir--best hammer ever--rides a billy-goat cart and makes thunder storms whenever he has a head ache?
And did I mention Thursday is named after him?

your forgetting that the Norse Gods got lost ran low on supplies and were forced to eat thors goats, and they promptly ressurected themselves the next day...

Greek mythology is probably my favourite, I just love the Typhon and the sheer badass sounding stuff of Erebus and Hades. They're obviously anthreopomorphic, but it makes for cool stories. I also like Norse stuff, and Celt stuff, and old British myth. Jewish mythology is cool too, what with the ancient dragons like the Leviathan and that other one (its name begins with R i think). Then of course there's the human/angel(gods?) babies in genesis 6. It's a shame that the stuff in genesis isn't elaborated further, really.

I like the Greek pantheon the best.

However, the Quiche Mayan pantheon (specifically as depicted in the Popol Vuh) is great! It's like saterday morning cartoons as cosmology! Xbalanque and Hunapuh, twin brothers, go to Xibalba, the underworld, to answer the ball-playing challenge of the Lords of Death. Their fathers before them were killed by the Lords, but the Hero-Twins meet each challenge. Throw in some tricks, transformations, betrayal, illegitimate offspring ("That is just your fornication which grows in your womb!"), and resurrections, and you have a very interesting tale indeed!

I don't know whether Lovecraftian "pantheon" count as mythological, but my all-time favorite is Nyarlathotep: messenger to Azathoth, and a cunning trickster.
