Alright, I've dug through my online briefcase and found an older sketch of mine This was done in the months leading up to premiere of Justice League's second season opener, Twilight as a means of calming myself over the excitement of seeing the Fourth World animated once again. So, since that was last year, you can see clear differences compared to my recent pics; I had yet to fully master the art (and I still am -- things are easier now). So for any Jack Kirby fans out there, enjoy.

Alright, here's one from back at the start of September, the JLA. This was done right after I saw the the cover-artwork for JLA: Classified # 1 and so that cover ended up influencing this. Enjoy!

And, for a little break from the world of sketches, a quick attempt at a signature based off the Injustice Gang (and though those are animated designs, this depiction of the Gang is based off the Rock of Ages Injustice Gang. Enjoy!

And, since the third time is after all the charm -- or so the saying goes, I give you what I sincerely hope will be the last time that I redo my alternate signature based upon my Justice League/Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water crossover (this is, I believe, the sixth time I've redone it).

The fifth design looks a lot cleaner...there's less jagged edges.

Over on the JLA Animated board, I received a request from a fellow user and good friend of mine (I'm his mentor to the ways of the DCU

). He asked for something dealing with the "Anti-World's Finest", i.e. Luthor and Joker. Here are the five possible signatures I experimented with that had two of DC's greatest foes:

My favorite one is the second signature; I'm still waiting on his final choice or if he needs additional possibilities.

Well, He liked the first and fifth one and asked for a minor modification to # 5 if possible. Well, I did that one, but inspiration struck and I ended up doing two more. Here they are:

I love all three of these. If I had to pick my favorite from this batch, it would probably be the first or second (or 6 and 7 overall).

Misguided it more appropriate. He truly does care about the Earth and wants to see it saved from human destruction, but his methods are all wrong. His charisma, resources, and single mindedness are what truly make him a terrifying foe, one that save for the Joker, has tried Batman more than anyone else.

Okay, I lied. Two more sigs for tonight. The first is one final Superman tribute sig to Christopher Reeve. The previous four I had done were on MS Paint and so I wanted to do one with PhotoStudio 2000. The Supes image is from the just-release cover for SUPERMAN #213, the quote from the STAS two-parter Apokolips...Now!, spoken by Supes at Dan Turpin's funeral.

For Disney fans, the second one is of Claude Frollo. I've always felt that Frollo is one of the most under-appreciated Disney foes, overlooked by most children because of the darker, adult themes of Disney's adaptation of Victor Hugo's nove (Which is a pity. The animation is among the best Disney's ever done and the music's Andrew Lloyd Webber-esque style is of great delight). True, this love of the character could be attributed to the fact that Tony Jay, one of my all-time favorite voice-actors, voiced the Minister of Justice, but you've got to love his dark, charismatic voice, tones, and design. The flames in the background, are meant to tie into Frollo's song Hellfire.
