Do you know how the ratings are doing?

Star Trek....What a great show.

When ratings are down just have Tpol show up in a white cat suit. Well at least this now proves the Feds have a personal shield system on people...how else can you explain that Tpol's white suit stayed perfectly clean

Oh, I am so very sorry. The true test of a movie's horrible quotient is whether or not one could tolerate it while it's being MST3Ked. I couldn't even watch Manos then.
The pain of Voyager is nothing compared to the hours of bad cinema I've endured over the years.
Especially repeated viewings of Manos.
Although I have yet to brave the rapids of crap that is Leonard: Part Six.
I get a sneaking suspicion that you aren't the only one.

Why didn't the klingons simply transport out of the burning gas, and "behind" them?

Or better yet: USE THE TYPICAL TREK FANBOY ARGUMENT AND BEAM THE SETTLERS INTO OUTER SPACE?
For the Klingons to beam out of the burning gas and "behind" them, would mean the writers would have to use some creativity. A quality that is lacking in writers for ST.

I could see the signature signs of B&B, and that was all I needed to know. Everything I've heard since then has only confirmed my initial assessment.
The series is not all bad. Alot of it's bad rap has been put on it by the "continuity police". That having been said, this episode WAS rather shitty. It made no sense. All they did was piss the Klingons off. Hell 2-3 snipers in the hills could've eliminated their landing party with little trouble. They didnt need to go through all the ordeal of moving things around and setting up some elaborate mouse trap. I also find it hard to believe the colonists weren't out for revenge considering those same Klingons had been there and killed their fellow colonists before.

Actually I think the ratings are doing rather well for a UPN show. I believe It has outdrawn their "hit" buffy. Personally, I'd like to hope it gets better rather than get canceled.

I didn't watch it, but from what I gather the NX crew stages a little trap that catches the Klingons and threatens to kill them, is this correct?

Now me, hoping for the good solution, would op for the time honored tactic of the:
BLOODY FRAG GRENADE

Beam frag grenade with the pin pulled into the middle of the Klingons, quick simple and clean. Kill the klingons without breaking a sweat. If you just want beat/scare them ... use some flash/bangs and then go pound their bumpy heads in while they are *blinded*.

I swear nobody in sci-fi gets the concept of *grenades*. THEY WORK.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Or they could have simply attacked the Klingon settlement, except that that would merely be giving the settlers a fish. And we can't have easy solutions in ST. Except when we can.
