"You, are ruining my wedding."
"Honey, you're pointing a gun at the baby."
God I loved this series. And I'm so happy to see this mini-series.

Amen to that. Crichton has the most amazing moments... and I love the little references he throws in... I believe at one point (during the series at least, if not in the mini-- i may be mixing them up) he refers to Scorpius or Harvey as "lord vader"... that was sweet. And the bit with Scorpius' armor-- "Does that come in blue?"Captain_Cyran wrote:"You, are ruining my wedding."

I forgot, have they ever really explained why there are the long-neck Scarrens and the more human-looking ones?
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

More likely a Wizard of Oz referance.fgalkin wrote:He also mentioned the "lions tigers and bears" in the series. A Hyperion reference?

For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,

Heh, it seems that even all the way across the galaxy, babies still look like a little Winston Churchill.
Alos
"Shooting makes me feel better!"
That cracked me up.

Well, that seems to leave just one last untied thread that I can think of, the Nebari.
Unless something happened that I missed, they are still hatching a plot to take things over with that little virus thing of theirs.

I agree. ANd as for Dargo, well a wormhole can lead to places. He is hopefully somewhere to be recovered.Elheru Aran wrote:*bawling*

A wormhole, maybe. But given that he was probably dead from his blood going toxic before getting sucked into a blackhole.Agent Fisher wrote:I agree. ANd as for Dargo, well a wormhole can lead to places. He is hopefully somewhere to be recovered.Elheru Aran wrote:*bawling*

I don't think he is coming back. And given how good a death scene he got, thats a good thing in my book.[/b]

That was an amazing ending. I wish that they hadn't cancelled. But a good way to end it was.

My guess is that in the period between the formation of the Peacekeepers and now that the Scarrens grew in power faster.Boyish-Tigerlilly wrote:So, were the scarens MORE powerful than the peacekeepers? If it was the job of the peacekeepers to keep peace, how could they reasonably do so w/out being more powerful than the other factions? Maybe I missed that.
