This guy has the worst grasp of military tactics, logic, and suspension of disbelief I've EVER seen in any debate I've ever been in. Well, there was one guy that came close...but he's still pretty bad
He thinks its all about the characters. He's using the O.J. Simpson defense, basicly, there must be some scenario in which trek wins...and that Alexander the Great could take out a modern day platoon with bows and arrows and swords, and that Picard would find some way to take out a Death Star.
Are you talking about Kruk (i'm currently reading page 3)
His view on the DS is mindboggling stupid
By the way, weather or not creating a planet is higher tech than destroying it, in times of war i'd pick #2

Not to me-too, but I like the argument of "You just don't have any imagination if you don't accept my half-assed ideas!"
Exactly why is it failure of imagination to point out flaws in another person's plans? Doesn't that require, I dunno, a much better imagination to pull off than the person that originally forwarded the idea?
This seems somewhat common/familar tactic with pseudo-science cranks.
They now locked the Thread cause somebody was being a whinner about some 5 page rule that I never heard of before I started this. I mean god all the other post are useless there almost allways spam.

He claimed those big gaping holes on bespin were small, I was going to point out the inability of phasers to cut through a wall on DS9 or even damage PACKING crates.
He tried the "Die is Cast" fallacy, as well. I was going to SERIOUSLY pound him on that one :s

Go post in the thread that says StarTrek vs something. Just to piss them off. What a stupid rule, I mean it seems the only reason to have that rule is for the awful amount of spamming going on there.
