Sheen has little or no intention of running for president - he understands that the one thing you cannot have in the White House is a pacifist.

Chance of the 22nd being repealed? Roughly snowball in Hell level. Congress likes the 22nd. It ensures a steady rotation that means the President is never really secure in office, and keeps the balance of power from tipping totally to the executive. It reduces the power of the Presidency, so Congress will not eliminate it.

Why isn’t that ever an issue of politics? Because you don’t live in a democracy. You live in a plutocracy. Money rules.

Maybe that's why Kerry's running such a lousy campaign, he wants to see Bush crash and burn as opposed to himself.RedImperator wrote:If Bush wins the Republicans are going to be too busy trying to survive the next four years as all of their mistakes come back to bite them in the ass. Honestly, it's probably in their interest to lose so Kerry can take some of the blame.

If he doesn't want to be president, then why is he running for president? He gains nothing from purposefully running a shitty campaign.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Assuming Bush wins and has to live with the consequences of his mistakes, the Democrats will probably have better chances in the midterm elections to take control of the Senate, and also better chances in 2008.
