I want a wormhole weapon. That was an awesome scene, and Harvey's death made me sad.

That scene at the end with Peacekeeper Bitch and Emperor Godzilla agreeing to peace was fucking awesome. You could just see it in both their faces: "I wanna keep killing stuff....but I'm gonna die!" Absolutely great.

That was one hell of an ending. Every scifi show should have an ending this great. :D

I must say this ending has put Farscape solidly in it's place far above most other sci-fi shows and movies. In my eyes it is the Original Star Wars trilogies equal.

Wait so the things that Bracka and his boys at the beginning were flying were 500 meters!? But they looked like single man fighters.

They were single man fighters. They're talking about the vigilantes in the very opening battle.

Out of curiousity. Do we have any calcs for Farscape weapons? That missile they fired at the temple had a fucking huge explosion.

No, those are Prowlers, actual interceptor/superiority fighters. The "rear battle fighter" is a term to refer to the relatively small Pantak-class Vigilante capital ships, which presumably provide an escort/support role to the main command carriers during battle operations.

I'd certainly be tempted to do some, though I don't think we have easily measurable values, as we do in SW for instance with the asteroid scene. A few instances, perhaps, but I don't know if there are enough to make calcs from.

Well, take that temple missile-- I daresay it wouldn't be too hard to scale it from the visuals. As for the rest of them-- the blasters, etc-- I agree, hard to say...

BTW, question-- do Farscape ships have any sort of shielding? Or is it all armor? Cause their shots certainly seemed to damage without hesitation... especially Moya-- it's like, boom, boom, boom... same with all the other ships that you see shots hitting.
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Sometimes. Particularly in season one/two.

In "Premiere," when Crais's command carrier fires on Moya, one of the shots scrapes off of Moya's underside against a blue "field," which looks a little like a weapon-shield interaction.

In "PK Tech Girl," Crichton, Aeryn, and Gilina rip out the functioning defense screen of the derelict command carrier Zelbinion for use on Moya, and it is then subsequently used to defend (with moderate success -- see the ep ;)) against the Halosians in "Out of their Minds." I don't think it's used after this. It might've burnt out in this episode, but I honestly don't recall.

We never see a command carrier other than the derelict Zelbinion use this form of technology.

D'Argo's craft, Lo'la, initially have a defensive perimeter around it that could not be breached.

I think there have been other instances of shield technology, but on a more personal level. There's also, of course, the terrace on Moya that appears open to space, but is contained by some kind of field (the final scene of "The Peacekeeper Wars" was, incidentally, the first time the terrace had been seen since, I believe, season one).

Only just saw the last installment tonight.

High points for me: Harvey's Deathscene, it's obvious why as I am a total 2001 fanwanker. Probably one of my favorite deathscenes of all time.
D'argo's last scene: "I'm your Daddy." Enough said.
Scorpious commanding the defenders of the temple.
The Luxan commandos, the first time so many Luxans have been on screen at once, actual tactics used, technology that is smart, a warrior race that is proficient and smart. It just put those fucking Klingons to shame.
The Wormhole weapon: Reminds me of the Excession.

This is now the best miniseries that has ever existed. I defy all of you to name a better one.

Dumb question, but what happened to Sikozu in the very end? I remember the scene near the end of Part 2 where Scorpius pulls something out of her back (or something) but what happened to her after that?

Scorpious probably killed her.

At the end, when everybody was leaving, Grishalkh or whatever his name is-- the fat guy who's the Diagonisian's translator-- is kind of crawling over to look further, and he sees Sizoku lying on the ground nearby-- she kind of gives him a look, and he goes something like, "You idiot!"

BTW, the thing he took off her was a Scarran com... I don't believe it was implanted, although it may have been imbedded in her back.

Didn't Akhnat refer to the spy as he? So does that mean Grishalkh was another spy? Or was it only Sikozu.

Grunschlk! ;)

And Ahk'na (though the apostrophe is optional, I think).

Well, that's the spelling FarScape World used. The subtitles use Grunchlk, but the subtitles also sub in the word "well" for "frell" sometimes ;)

There was an episode where the Moya crew detonated a "makeshift" bomb on the surface of the planet. Said explosion created a hugh white flash that could be seen from orbit with the subsequent mushroom cloud visible from orbit as well.

They said such an explosion would not severely damage a command carrier unless applied to the bridge.

Necronlord has the screencaps I think, and can explain more.

Oh yeah, Crichton apparently vaporized a lot of water in a tank with his pulse pistol as a demonstration. Calculations done by people here were something like several megajoules or something. SOmeone more familiar with the subject could probably elaborate further.

I think the wormhole weapon slightly outclasses virtually everything else in scifi with the exception of Culture stuff, but only because of the Excession.

Anyone notice the Dr Strangelove references Harvey kept making?
