what is your Favorite TIE?
What is your favorite TIE-type, either from canon or EU and why?
Mine is the TIE Defender, since it's fast, packs a punch and you won't get you ass blow off in it.

The TIE-Defender.
Looks like Escher was let into starship design.

The Defender is more powerful, but I like the shape of the Interceptor much much more.

TIE-interceptor. Defender was always a wanking piece of shit IMHO. Interceptor is a good balance between the goofy TIE-ln and the more advanced designs.

TIE Interceptor, cool design and fun memories of beating the hell out of X-wings in it on X-Wing vs Tie Fighter.

TIE Crawler.
Seriously, I quite liked that (IIRC) TIE-Interceptor-with-Missile-Pods prototype design from X-Wing Alliance. If you could make redesign the Interceptor line with detactable missile pods, I think it would be quite a nice compromise between an Interceptor and Missle Boats (the supposed bane of TIE Defenders).

TIE V-38
EDIT:
I'm quite confused between V-38 and Phantom. I think the correct designation is TIE Panthom.
Here's the pics. If there's anything looks cooler than TIE Interceptor, TIE Panthom is definitely one.

TIE Defender without question for obvious reasons, however, I'd go for a shielded Interceptor as well. Vaders Prototype with its hyperdrive and shields is also quite appealing.

The Avenger.
Better looking than the Interceptor, not as ugly as the Defender, and still capable of going toe-to-toe with it. Besides, the introduction of hyperdrive was a very welcome addition.
