has anyone experienced loading problems? it started late in the game, somewhere at about 70% of completing the story mode. the drive starts to make wierd noises and it stops loading.
if you open the drive and close it again it usually goes away. sometimes you have to open and close it several times. really annoying.

I'm getting close to 70% so i'll let you know if i have problems. The fairly long load times (and the large amount of saving) are annoying, but it's worth it to beat the ever-living shit out of Sean Paul.

Oh god your in for it now if you have an older ps2... my ps2 does the same thing with some games. Especially xenosaga. i have to pop disks in and out 3-4 times to make them work on start up even. it says on the system browser screen "disk read error".

but yes at 74% completed i got the same problem to cut a long story... medium length

i don´t get any message. the loading process just stops (you can see that because the "loading" icon stops blinking) and the rattling starts.

i'm thinking your getting a read error still most likely because it wont say it when it does it while your playing. If you ever get it when the ps2 is first trying to load the game it will say it and make that damned rattling sound like its spinning the disk too fast. If that is the sound i think your hearing. I also asked some folks that do things to their ps2's *not gonna mention* what it was and thats what they said too. If your ps2's kinda new maybe you can get a new one outta it due to sony's bad quality assurance system. (if thats the problem, mines a model from when it first was released).

*sorry about the crappy structure of my post i'm typing this at work :P

So you didn't bother watching or doing the tutorial and you have the right to complain that the game sucks because you don't know what to do? What's it supposed to do beam it into your fucking brain?
It's the only game I've picked up where I could'nt fucking play it.
Sounds like your shortcoming not the games. I had no problems figuring the demo out.
Seeing how the game utilizes something that's not in any of the other games, which is super fucking complicated to do unless you go through the whole game.
I hate to tell you this but none of the knockout methods are at all complicated.
No, bad for me. I wasted thirty precious minutes on a piece of shit. Much like I'm wasting time using intelligent reasoning on an ignorant asshat.
The fact that you KOed him twice indicates you managed a knock-out both times. The thing that kills me is the fact that you're blaming your own inability to play on the game rather than the fact you were too fucking lazy to bother learning the controls.
I shouldn't have to LEARN anything!!!
Wow.. so I guess you do think the game should magically implant the information in your brain. You have to learn to play any game dumb-ass. The fact you're using a shitty method is your problem not the games.
How fucking hard is it for you to fucking understand?!? I picked up the controller, and played a game that is nearly identical to every other 3D fighter/wresteling game out there. Basically, if I had rented this myself or even bought it and jumped in some shit like that, it would be back at the store.
Yes you picked up a control, didn't consult the manual, didn't consult the tutorial, and yet for some reason the game sucks because you don't know how to do anything. Your argument doesn't make any fucking sense and it hinges entirely on the fact that you ASSUMED the game controlled like every other wrestling game on the market.
If I want complicated or a thinking man's game I can pull out an RTS or a chess board. In this case, it was a rock 'em sock 'em wrestling game.
So using more than one button is complicated for you?

Holy fuck your an ignorant son of a bitch. Was there any part of my post that you read? I go over to a friends house and pick up a controller. I never did anything playing against my friend except the 'on fire' thing and that was in the middle of the match. When I won I was doing the same thing. Tapping the hell out of my punch button.
And what part of what you just said contradicts what I said? You just proved my point that your complaints with the game simply don't make any fucking sense.
In wrestling games, one button pins the guy, and more then likely you've found that in the course of the match, usually by the second time he's on the ground. Here you have some complicated ass move. I know, you have to have your 'stizyle' when you 'finish' someone.
Funny how you keep harping on how I'm an ignorant son of a bitch when you're the one who doesn't know shit in this instance. Though I suppose given your behavior in here I should expect a simple thing like a KO move is over your head.

Here's a little tip dumb-ass. Take a character who uses street fighting. Get the opponent down to danger. Hold the attack modifier (you know the button that makes you do heavy strikes) and hit punch. Bingo, haymaker, KO. How fucking complicated is it to be able to use two buttons? Or a blazin move (which EVERYONE fucking has). Get the meter full, tap the right analogue stick once in any direction. Do a grapple (any grapple, light or heavy it doesn't matter) and tap it again. HOW FUCKING HARD IS THAT! In fact it tells you how to do the blazin' moves in the fucking manual on the same page as the controls.

Further, in the manual, page 11 (for the x-box manual anyway) under the fighting tips it tells you what move in each style you use to KO. Simple process of elimination and some minor work with your brain should make it plain as day.

Yeah because you know using more than one button at a time or hitting one more than once is quite the brain cooker.

Never did anything special. Tap the punch button, and the fucker went down.
You don't have to do anything special in a lot of cases. Any character with Streetfighting as their style can KO an opponent by simply doing a heavy punch.
Actually, I've got your ass right there. I looked in the fucking manual. The fucking manual for crying out loud. Didn't say shit in there. All it told me is there's a punch button, a kick button, a hold button, and some damned run button. Nothing about the other shit.
Look down at the bottom of the page with the control diagram on it. It tells you how to do the blazin' moves RIGHT IN THE FUCKING MANUAL. If you like I could scan it for you if reading the entire page is too complicated for you.
Once again, my 'finishing' move was kicking his ass.
Which means you probably KOed him by smacking him into the wall or you hit him with a haymaker. I'm wondering why the idea didn't percolate in your brain to oh say.. try doing the same thing again?

You CANNOT simply wear someone down to the point where they KO. You have to have done one of the LIST of possible methods I put up for you.
When it's a fucking fighting game.
Call me crazy but i actually like a game that's some challenge even if it's a fighting game. If any moron can pick up a control with no idea how to play and whup the computer easily then it's too fucking easy.
Using a cop out 'finishing' move that it doesn't bother to tell you in the fucking manual.
Already caught you on this BS.
Maybe there's some out of the way game tutorial buried in the midst of shit. However, I didn't get that opportunity. Most games are curtyous enough to tell you to hit a certain button at critical moments like that. Except for this piss poor excuse for a time waster.
They make you go through the game tutorial when you start story mode, it's not exactly hard to find dumb-ass. And how many fucking times do I have to say it? The game does tell you. It tells you in the in-game tutorial (which you've admitted not playing or even watching), and it tells you how to do the blazin' moves in the manual on the same fucking page as the controller layout.

Nope, no problems at all, apart from that bitch Sean Paul pulling a cheap hit and knocking me in front of the Subway train therefore denying me winning all the bonus fights!
