Vader's TIE was the prototype Advanced (Avenger) model. It had the shields and hyperdrive etc.
(If it was an ordinary shieldless TIE, Solo could have forgot about his Jabba wories. Listen up you worthless piece of hutt garbage, I'm the guy who iced Vader! Han the Sithkiller! Are you feeling lucky, punk?)

Well of course you can beat an AI controlled TIE with a YT-1300.Lord Revan wrote:you can win AI TIE/d with YT-1300(factory version, not the Falcon) with some effort and skill.Rogue 9 wrote:Over Defenders on AI, sure. It's Rogue, not Rouge!

TIE/LN. Though Vader's X1 can do it, I like the rapid firing duel laser cannons and the vertical panels because if you stand next to it, it's motherfucking high.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Fuck TIEs give me a skipray blastboat. Turreted heavy laser cannon, missile launchers, heavy armor a sn shielding, and forward firing ion cannons, all for just a slight decrease in maneuverability and acceleration.
Oh, and it is hyperdrive capable.

As far as I kmow before Vder flies the TIE ADVANCEDX1 as seen in ANH which has two laser cannons, shields and a hyperdrive and has bomber style solar pannels (i know they're not really solar pannels ut what else do i call them? )Jean Paul wrote:Vader's TIE was the prototype Advanced (Avenger) model. The TIE Avenger is the TIE Advanced (no X1) which is seen in the -Wing gaems with wings similar to a TIE Intercepters has four laser caoons in the wings and aslo had missle luanchers where Vader's TIE had laser cannons.
Clear?
As to my favourite TIE, well Zaarin's remote Fighters had some charm from X-Wing: Alliance. Especially the First two. One is a TIE fighter with a pair of big ass laser cannons each side of the solar pannels and the other is two TIE Balls with a solar pannel between them and a turbolaser in the left ball.

Yeah it seem that at least in X-wing:Alliance AI pilots seem like being assraped by anything from wastebarge to SSD.Rogue 9 wrote:Well of course you can beat an AI controlled TIE with a YT-1300.Lord Revan wrote:you can win AI TIE/d with YT-1300(factory version, not the Falcon) with some effort and skill.Rogue 9 wrote:Over Defenders on AI, sure. The exact name of that model is unknown so Saxton dubbed it an "assault TIE," but it was flown by Major Grode on Cilpar in the X-wing comics.
