That "lined up" assumption (which I take to mean the distance from the camera matches that of Alderaan) is by no means assured or even likely.
Some sort of orbital station. Habitat perhaps.. or shipyard. Alderaan had some minor shipbuilding capacity, producing things like the Alderaanian War Frigate and the Razor fighter.
In the first frame it doesn't even look solid.
It actually looks solid to me (uh oh, I just argued with MW, I'm dead, but oh well).

Perhaps we could see a few frames at the beginning and just before the blast and see if it exists?

I'd assume it's just a large orbital station, and some energy is being transferred between it and the shield. Perhaps the shield is bleeding energy to it, perhaps it is trying to divert energy to itself to survive the coming explosion... Who knows?

Right...the whole impossible to tell perspective in space thing, no?

It's hard to tell on my computer (hold on, gonna mess around with my monitor setting). Oh, that's interesting. Try kicking your monitor to 256 colors and view Frame 04. It's rather bright in that setting. Magnifying it up to 1080x810 (and back to True Color) in Irfran, it looks solid to me. The southwest portion seems elongated, but it looks relatively solid to me (no visible holes).

I can say one thing definitively. It's brown :D . Other than that, no clue.

In my opinion, it's more than likely some kind of filmic artifact.

Naturally. But what else is there to work with.

That's true, but what kind of object that size would be nonsolid and relatively close to the planet? Some kind of framework perhaps.. dunno. *shrug*

Perhaps an asteroid drug into medium orbit to simplify mining and the like. Have resources closer at hand or something. I dunno.

It looks like an asteroid, but it might be a bit big. While there are asteroids that size, it rhymes badly with the "no moon" statement, even if we assume that the object is considerably smaller than I scaled it to.

In fact, the object is most likely larger. given that the "line" up to it appears to be behind the explosion, suggesting that it is further away from the camera than the planet.

But hey, it works just as well as any other explanation.
