Chris House (Olympia, WA): I'm a father of two, and a teacher in Washington state. Being a son of George Herbert Walker Bush's first cousin, I've been witness to a family that bred itself for leadership. Bushes have made their political mark on a local, national and global level, with mixed success.
PS: Not laughing that some of Bush's relatives back Kerry but at the fact that his distant distant relatives back Kerry. Reminds me of minor pop stars supporting politicians.
Then why isn't he George H Bush? Then his supporters could liken him to Jesus H Christ.

I suppose this ranks up there with candidates not being able to win their home state. (i.e. Al Gore)

Not really, family are generally expected to back you up in times like this. Home states are filled with voters with no such obligation.

So now families are all member of one political party? How about all one religion? This is what... the son of George Herbert Walker Bush's cousin. Wow.... this shows a lot. Christ, I bet you go far enough with any public official and your going to find disagreement in the family.

Technically they're not Jr. and Sr. It's just that everyone refers to them that way.
And if you go far enough, of course you can find relatives that disagree with each other politically. Heck, Kerry is Bush's distant cousin. I think it's something like ninth cousin twice removed.

Disagreement is one thing, creating a little organisation is quite another.

So now you can measure the seriousness of it by the action he takes based on his feelings? Hardly scientific.

You should really stick to whatever it is you're actually knowledgable about. This sort of thing ain't in your league.
Because yes, pscyhologically speaking, you can determine how firmly someone feels by the lengths they'll go to back it up. It's a triviality, blindingly logical to someone actually familiar with reality. Think about it, if you can get all your brain cells operating at once: Will you invest effort into something you don't care about? No, of course not. You can tell a Celt is rather attached to his homeland when he's ready to run naked at you with naught but an axe. You can tell a salesman isn't really serious about his job if he doesn't even try to approach you. But this is, again, logic so I'm not expecting this to get through.

Perhaps I termed it wrong. It certainly doesn't make this a more vaild opinion that anyone elses, or more strongly back up one side of the argument.

Then it's simply a matter of Bush being so fucking incompetent that his own family is turning on him. A second cousin isn't exactly massively distant; I keep in contact with mine when they're on another continent. When they're in the same area, as they oft are in this country, it becomes even more easy. But again, you're desperately trying to say 'This means nothing' instead of just mocking the politicians.

Hmm... well good for you. I personally see my 2nd cousins maybe twice a year during family reunions. Perhaps your original?
The point remains. This doesn't in any way show Bush is truly incompetent because one person in his family thinks so.

I guess I didn't make myself clear so I'll try once more.
I'm not laughing at the fact that some of his relatives support Kerry but at the fact that some of his distant distant relatives support Kerry; this meaning, of course, that they're so distant it doesn't even have the desired affect one would expect out of say.....the President's own father?
