It is, that spiky object you mentioned earlier was the bomb that caused it. It was a covie bomb that the MC reset and guided out of the UNSC ship towards that covie one. I know cause Ive played the first level of the game on a friends box and seen the intro footage. :)

1. SPOILERS ARE BAD.
Did I reveal something important about the story/plot? No.
2. NICE JOB TALKING ABOUT PLAYING AN ILLEGALLY-AQUIRED GAME.
Since I don't support pirating it, don't have it myself, and have always intended since the game was first announced to buy it myself, I don't see the problem.

Nope, sorry. Quicktime's a bitch with maintaining resolution while paused. *Shrug*

Here's a French commercial (Bungie official release and in no relation to any hijacked footage) that shows some of the stuff from this trailer, but some other things that it left out. Link

That's cool... the Prophet sounds just like the English voice, only in French. the French MC's pretty cool too.

Only shot I really found to be awesome was that shot of the Hunters. 8)

What about the Covenant cruiser flying past the ruins of HALO? Five seconds in, lasts less than a second. 8)

Yeah! The one that everyone has already! Good job! :P Does that version have sound? I know a lot of them don't; I had to do some digging last year to get one that did. Finally got my copy off of a server in Bulgaria, I think...

the covie ship is the one from our trailer.

You also see the two snipers from the E-3 trailer, lying down as three pelicans fly by.

Oooh, that's even sweeter. Looks like we finally get to see some seriously Covie politics in action. One thing though, is that AI we see Cortana? It certainly doesn't look like her.

It's her. The only difference is the "hair." Apparently she decided she wanted a new look or something.

But... Is that another HALO facility at 34 seconds in? I tried to take a screenshot, but it shows up as a black screen when I save as a JPEG for some reason.

Edit: AAARRRGGGHHHHHHH! What is it with Paint and making screenshots of WMV show the current frame of the clip on the viewer instead of the frame you took a shot of? Dammit, I need this trailer for Quicktime so I can actually get a shot.

Edit 2: Here's the page with the trailers and advertisements released to date if anyone missed anything. They've got the French, German, and Italian ads as well as a 6 minute spot about the multiplayer from the collector's edition DVD. Go wild.

Use Media Player Classic, it has a built in screen grab function.

Got a Quicktime version from halo.bungie.org and used that. It's lower res, but at least it took the shot. Anywho, here's the pic.

Image

Sure that's not another surface explosion? Looks mighty like HALO 004 did when the Pillar of Autumn went up, except the explosion's purple. Covenant cruiser self-destructing?

Perhaps its a "flashback" shot to the Covenant destroying (perhaps with that "strike team") the damaged cruiser that the flood captured?
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

At 21 seconds, is that Covenant ship flying past to an entire armada? When it goes past the broken ruins of HALO, it approaches a bunch of oblong shapes in the distance. If that's a Covenant fleet, it's huge.

Wow.....

That was..... wow......

Man I wish I had an X-Box right now.

Oh, and Is it me, or does the voice (I think its the same character speaking both times) at :13 and :38 sound a lot like Keith David?
