58,000 Absentee ballots missing in Florida

Just heard this on the radio when I was driving in to work. Ballots have just gone POOF and nobody knows where they are. No posting on CNN yet, or any other news source for confirmation yet. Anyone else hear anything about this?

In Texas we have a pretty easy absentee system, although I've never done it by mail. You just walk into city hall with your registration card and you vote.

I don't trust USPS with my bills, so I sure as fuck wouldn't trust them with my vote.

A vote which isnt counted is a vote for you since it isnt against you in the USA election system.

I don't think that would happen. Having grown up in one of the most predominantly white and Jewish parts of the state, Jeb'll have his hands full with most of the wealth of the state suing the shit out of him...

The sad thing is we were modern, back when Flagler and the other tycoons were running the place. Intercoastal Railway connecting the peninsula with Key West, biggest hotels in the nation, we were the place for the rich and famous to come to. Now, we're just a big farming, mining, and tourism state. Manufacturing's gone down the crapper, though it is starting to improve a bit. If we could get a governor dedicated to promoting high-tech industries, we could become a powerful economy again. I don't think we could quite rival California, but on a per capita basis we could be their equivalent.

I gather that the ballots were intended for Broward county, the state's largest Democratic stronghold. Color me shocked! Not really.

Well, he says that Jeb is the smart one. So I followed it up by saying that he couldn't figure out Chinese finger cuffs and had to chew his way out, which is pretty damn dumb. If the smart one is pretty damn dumb, and he is the supremum (am I using the right word here? The upper limit) of Bush intelligence, then they all have to be dumber than damn dumb.

Other than that, it is not a reference to anything. Maybe Chasing Amy... but not intentionally.
