Anyone Watching Michael Moore On Question Time?
Just forgot about this and flipped over to BBC1 after Volcano finished. It's a special programme from Miami with Moore on it and so far seems quite interesting, especially given I had a nice Iraq political assessment talk this evening to help me.

I have to be honest. I have a hard time taking any Moore says as very credible after he's claimed there is no terrorist threat.Admiral Valdemar wrote:Just forgot about this and flipped over to BBC1 after Volcano finished. I think what he meant by that, having now seen F9/11, is that there was no specific new threat. Just because the US got a new and big hit against it that September, doesn't mean terrorism is suddenly a problem for the US and warrants a "War on Terror" (possibly the most stupid thing to come out of America post-9/11). It's the neo-cons and their pathetically narrow view of the world. No Soviets, no major threat. Go for the terrorists.
Anyway, while Moore has some points I'm skeptical of, I agree for the most part with him and his points in that film and this programme going on now.

I was hoping to find a Web TV link for BBC World which is also showing this, but can't find one.
It's good, there have been some really smart people making points. There was one on the way the US liberated Iraq and Moore didn't flat out say he was anti-war, but that we could have done it better (and there are a load of reasons why).
There was one woman going on about Bush and his faith based initiatives infringing her pagan rights, especially as she knows her vote wasn't counted last election. Some good points made by a Sun columnist on the bench about how the election may already be decided by lawyers and not the people due to a minority win.

Hmm, didn't catch that. Maybe, just a slip of the tongue like the "George Kerry" thing. But they were right with the whole friendship thing. No matter who gets voted in, Blair will be with them still and not simply shun them.2000AD wrote:Did that guy withtheglasses just say Tony Blair was a good president of the USA?
