Why? Death threats are illegal in most countries.

If I was to talk about bombing the Glasgow Underground on my journal I could hardly complain when the police showed up on my door, same if I was to talk about murdering someone. Better safe than sorry.

Indeed, it does not matter if you threaten the Life of GWB or Bob next door, threatening bodily harm or the life of any person in a public forum is illegal.

He actually doesn't say, and has I believe deleted the link as well as the entry.

Now before people go "1984!!!!!"

1. Someone reported him, so the put your tin foil hats away, they aren't reading this to hunt you down.

2. Making Death threats has nothing to fucking to do with personal freedoms. If you make a death threat prepare to deal with the possible consequences.

All in all he did just that, he retracted and said he's not violent and what he said was in jest. I would feel more disappointed in the person who reported him more then the FBI/Secret Service.

From what I've heard, the threat in question was more along the lines of 'I'm so pissed of at W right now that if he were right her in front of me I'd kill him.' In other words, in context, not much of a threat.

And the person who reported the statement apparently had some sort of problem with the person who wrote it stemming from a previous exchange between them.
