I have a voice

Post by Tom_Aurum »

It needs to be heard. As loudly as possible before election day. Someone please point me in the proper direction, preferably somewhere where I can rant and be considered on a normal basis.

Go into the middle of the street and spill your mind onto the world. You'll be heard better if you use a megaphone.

Ranting is not considered normal.
Demonstrators and the soapbox set almost never realise how much they're viewed with contempt, even by people sympahetic to their causes.

yes, you have a voice. please remember that said voice is no more or less important than the voice of any other citizen. Feel free to make yourself heard, just please understand that, after you speak, you'll have to take a couple fo turns and listen.

Indeed, there are very narrow parameters of what is considered acceptable public speech. So narrow, in fact, that it is almost impossible to say anything substantial without people finding you either offensive or tedious, because they dismiss fiery delivery while simultaneously lacking the attention span for logical discourse.

I think The Daily Show has found the counter to that problem, they've made it entertaining.

Yes they've made it entertaining, but they've done so by making the issues extremely simplified, rolling their eyes at what politicains say and do, rather than figuring out why they say and do those things.

Yes, but don't you think that they could very well show the way for a more serious minded attempt?

Try making flyers, printing them up, and nailing them to telephone poles by the freeway.

Do it at night to duck any assholes who don't want you to be heard...
