Republican ideology and science

I tried to think of an part of republican ideology which does fit with science and draw a blank.
Some examples where ideology and science does not fit:
- reagenomics
- global warming
- safe sex education
So does anyone know of a part of science fitting with it ?

Note:
This is not meant to kick off a flame war neither to give you the chance to laugh about republican or conservatives.
Rather it is a serious question, meant to check if my data used for decision making is correct or flawed.
