Thune's lead may be 5,000, but apparently the precincts not reporting are conservative strongholds in the west. This may be the end for Tom Daschle.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Yes, it's definately up hill from here for Daschle.
CBS still says Ohio's still in the air, but I think Bush pretty much has it. Damn.

According to CNN.com, 83% of Ohio's precincts have reported, and Bush is ahead 140,000 votes. A Kerry win is still possible, but I think it's safe to say that if Kerry loses it, he's finished, as Nevada and New Mexico probably won't go Democratic.
The radio is saying that the heaviest democratic precincts have'nt finished counting yet. But I don't know enough about Ohio to know if those precincts even have the population to matter.
Bush's lead in Ohio just shrank to below 100k. A Kerry resurgence brewing, perhaps?

It would need to be a Hell of a resurgence. I've half a mind to shut down everything and go to sleep for the night, and wake up to what ever tomorrow brings, by Jingo.

I can say with conviction that a Bush victory will be better for me and mine in a financial sense. But I can also say with conviction that it will be bad for America, and aren't I an American?
It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow to the stock market.

And remember, Kerry has to pick up 100 thousand votes to tie it.
