This is just going to be brutal on my campus tommorow, er... later today. The support was so strong, and everyone thought the country was just going to throw down Bush. They're going to be totaly crushed. And the thing is, they were so smug about it... So now I'm sorry Bush is winning, but I'm glad they were wrong...

My roommate holds the same belief and it makes a bizarre kind of sense. It is as followed: Bush is an idiot and Kerry's a pussy. You can put smart people around an idiot and he'll let the smart people do the complex stuff. You can't put brave people around a pussy in the same manner.Lazy Raptor wrote:Okay, I can understand and almost sympathize with Spanky and MKShepperd's philosphy of deliberately trying to be as evil as possible, but how anyone can see Kerry as worse(as in actually worse, not just counter-productive) than W. is just beyond me.StormtrooperOfDeath wrote:I'm not so much pleased that Bush is winning as I am that Kerry isn't. Oh God, I didn't even think about that. U of I is pretty much the same way.UCBooties wrote:This is just going to be brutal on my campus tommorow, er... later today. The purple makes no fucking sense. Not now. Maybe an hour ago, but not now.

It's the opposite in my campus, which is weird. We're in a tradionally democratic state and I thought college students were traditionally liberal as well.UCBooties wrote:This is just going to be brutal on my campus tommorow, er... later today. Nearly 400K provincial. Damn, I had no idea there were that many.
Purple, fucking purple. I need an insanity emoticon.

Honestly, if Kerry loses, I hope he concedes. Another months long litigation process to determine the Presidency can do nothing but harm. I want W gone, but not at the cost of all integrity of the American election system.

For those wondering about the absentee ballots and how they fit into the picture, they trend heavily Republican. (During the last election, the figure thrown out was three to one Republican to Democrat.)
This is in large part due to the fact that a goodly number come from overseas business types and the military, two strongly Republican voting blocs.
So it's highly unlikely that they will reverse any states for Kerry, even if the numbers are more moderated for this election.

Damn it. I'm going to relieve this anxiety by making some ramen.
Funny, and I wasn't actually going to follow the results tonight. I at least wanted to avoid the TV coverage...

Bush is going up in numbers in Nevada. And New Mexico should be called already, he has a 5 point lead with 93% in.

Indeed, and I don't trust Kerry enough to be confident that he'll just concede and spare the country 2000's suckitude.Joe wrote:CNN says the Dems are ready to deploy their army of lawyers. God, this fucking sucks.
