They'll tally off every state but OH as long as it's close, then toss it to Bush at the very end, so it can look hotly contested and keep up the ratings...

The guys on CNN are having way too much fun with this.
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

Fuck. We need a democrat hero for 2008. Someone to revitalize the presidency. A republican did it once (TR). Why not a democrat this time? Certainly the office of the president hasn't been such a joke in a very long time.

I think it's pretty clear, at least right now, that Nevada and New Mexico are going to Bush. How much are those worth?

I think cnn.com could safely get around to calling SD for Thune by now. It does hearten me whenever one of the thieving bastard incumbents gets tossed out, even if the replacement isn't apt to be any better.

Either one will win it for him, Ohio or no, I think. I'm certain New Mex will.

Alright. CNN called NH for Kerry, with 7% of the precincts outstanding and with him winning by less than 1% of the vote. They didn't call New Mexico for Bush even though he's currently winning by 5% with 94% of the precincts outstanding. WTF are they waiting for?

CNN and CBS just want to keep it going for as long as possible for the sake of ratings.

Yes, I agree. I lean to the right on alot of issues. (Well in California I lean to the right, I would be a moderate in most of the US) I would vote for a John Breaux-D ticket. I agree with him on most of the issues.

He's a lawyer. You have to go the whole decapitation/garlic/incineration route to properly finish such a creature off.

Anyone think the democrats will be able to retake the white house in 2008? I personally have no idea.

I'm surprised Bush isn't standing by with a giant cross, clamoring to do it himself...

CBS is reporting that the total number of provisional ballots is about 130,000 - which may end up being less than the margin of victory in Ohio at the end of the night.

I fear that I will never again see an election for my nations leader decided in one night as it has been done in my fathers time.

I fear that this election has brought about the death of the American democracy.

When I wake up tomorrow, my President will not be decided by the vote of the people, but by the army of lawyers that the two parties have seen fit to bring forth.

For the next four years I will see my nation descend further into the hellish field of partisan politics where we no longer look upon each other as citizens, but as liberal or conservative, as coward or war monger, as traitor and idiot.

I will see people who have lost faith in democracy and the principles of the nation, they will not be able to accept the leader of our nation because he will not be chosen by ballot, but by lawyer.

I see now that in this age, it is to much to ask for a simple answer.

Tonight, we will never see a gentleman’s concession again.

Tonight, I watched part of my nation die.
---
Its dramatic yes, But right now its how I feel. Finally people care, they vote, and this is the result.

When the dust settles will the defeated really accept the winner if that winner is chosen by lawyer or a court, and not by the people?

If CBS's number is right, Kerry hasn't a snowball's chance in hell. He'd have to win them ALL, which isn't going to happen.

Yes, depending on Canidates. Like I said, I tend to lean to the right, but I will not vote for Cheney which will most likely be the Republican Canidate.

My dream ticket: Powell/Gulliani
