I think it would have been hilarious to see a tie. Then the game could be decided in a courtroom. :D

Let's see if the prediction tool works even after that happened.
Well I think the announcer joked that "The Red Sox broke their curse, maybe Bush can break this one."

Doesn't count. The Red Sox are from Boston, Massachusetts, remember? :)

Assuming that Kerry wins, this will go down in history as one of the most clear examples of the "election prediction" working. The Packers didn't have to win this game since the referee won it for them. That's exactly the kind of thing you look for in such coincidences to lend more weight to them being predestined or what not.

So ... if Kerry wins, then you're going to write a letter to the NFL about bad officiating?

No, I don't care that much either way. If I were going to write a letter it would be in the mail already (and I'm sure they're already reviewing what happened). However, assuming that Kerry wins, this is going to be some of the strongest "evidence" yet that this method of prediction is actually effective. Think about it: the Redskins lose a game they should have won simply because Kerry was destined to win the election.

So if the ref won this game for the Packers... we can assume that the political ref's are going to win it for Kerry? :)

Oh goody. The supreme court are going to be crowded round the viewing box.. trying to decide the call....

Why does the image of Reinquist in a refs jersy make me giggle??

Anyhow, its an interesting correlation. It will certainly be interesting to compare this to the results come wednesday morning.....

I wasted three seconds of my life on a seemingly political thread that turned out to be about the fucking NFL.
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now!
