It was when Kerry was nominated, he was a terribly weak candidate to begin with. Really, it was Bush's election to win or lose after that.
Kerry didn't ever have the drive to win it; too many times he simply got lost. He should have staken out a clear, concise, and not bullshit-laced position and stuck to it. It was the issues, both secular and moral, that won Bush the election. Kerry tried too much to appeal to every one and take every side. That killed him because it diluted his message and allowed Bush to utterly trample him.
Kerry should have played a hard issues game, instead he tried to play Bush's game.

I detest being lumped in with the rednecks and the ignorant. I voted Bush because I believe in the conservative fiscal policies, and am a moderate-leaning-right on social issues. The Republican gets my vote by default unless the Democratic canidate can pull it away. Which he FAILED TO DO.

You believe in conservative fiscal policies so you voted for Mr. "tax the poor to pay Haliburton while running up a $500 billion deficit on pork-barrel spending"? So sorry you don't like being lumped in with rednecks, but you deserve to be. Especially if you lean his way on social issues.

Its true, dumbfuck. Are you really trying to refute that educated, urbane people are predominantly more liberal than uneducated rural people?

Yeah, too bad Bush spent more in discresionary spending in his first three years than Big Bad Evil Klinton (tm) did in eight.
Some fiscal conservative. Either you're simply ignorant or you are self-delusional.

and more condescending I see....Yep there are no educated people in the Red states and No educated conservatives....
Yeah I am, and you're a prime example of stupid conservatism, as you don't grasp the difference between "predominantly" and "totally", causing you to make a blatent and embaressing strawman.

I understood your point ,but you use it so often you could mean everyone that voted for Bush.
Sudden power is apt to be insolent, sudden liberty saucy; that behaves best which has grown gradually.

So in your mind, it's OK to use strawman distortions against an accurate statement if it is repeated often enough?

That should have been capital "C" Conservative. Which, ironically, isn't very conservative at all.

Maybe there's hope for the next election. To my greatest surprise, my 18 year old nephew voted last night. He just turned 18 September 30th.

I know a few young people that voted, surprisingly alot of them seem to be a new wave of conservitives. (Still the majority seems to be liberal, but not as overwhelmingly as before.)

Nationally, the youth vote still seemed quite liberal. Kerry won about 2 out of every 3 youth votes--in line with his success with the elderly.

So because Bush spends money, he obviously has a good reason to? And how much does spent bullet casing make in the Iraqi desert?

Ah Ha! I knew it! The CN Tower looks exactly like a long range missle with a massive warhead! The CIA and Pentagon are sure Canada could threathen US, Europe and Israel with it!
We must press the UN to begin inspections of the Toronto WMD sites. If they refuse the a coalition of the willing will act to ensure freedom and liberty!

I really can't see any of the claims you make sticking, now that the

I think the real question is are those casing made in America by American workers.
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;
