Partied. Mocked Rick Santorum mercilessly. Exchanged tales of woe with a buddy back in the States. Kept thinking how awesome it would be to have Jon Stewart as President.

For me, three things are letting me get through: porn runs, Der Langrisser, and planning a 30-minute explanation on what Neil Postman means in chapter nine of Amusing Ourselves to Death - the last of which I've tried to minimalize, since it only seeks to remind me further of what happened.

So, it's basically porn and strategy RPGs...

It's never a good idea to watch the 700 Club unless you are trying to raise your blood pressure. There is some humor in watching Pat Robertson make that constipated straining to shit face when he prays. Just make sure you mute the sound. :D

I'm just keeping my eyes open, and my popcorn ready to watch as Bush makes his first fuckup in the new term.

Um, this would be N&P material, and may also be a duplicate thread (not sure yet--haven't had net access for a few days so I don't know everything I've missed yet).

I got drunk on Election Night and slept with America. When I woke up, I was sober, but she was still ugly.

meh, three POL courses filled with die-hard rhetoric Dems have guaranteed that I haven't been able to ignore it or quietly reconcile. So I've stayed away from the book, worked on the paper that isn't an analysis of the effect Evangelical Christians have had on the realignment of the Republican party... Mainly looked forward to this weekend, when I might get some time to relax.

Meh, I won't be any worse than it has these last four years. I'd perfer Kerry, but really I don't like him that much. At least now I can fantasize that the 2004 election will require thought because both the candidates are good, rather than bad.

I'm coping by getting ready for 2006!

There is no such thing as failure. Either succeed or try again. I guess I'm stubborn and enjoy a scrap too much.

Normal day. I really didn't have anything riding on my man winning, since he was neither major party candidate. :P

Here's at least one way of looking at the matter:

Yes, it's somewhat comforting to know that there'll be a Republican in office to catch the heat for when Iraq's shit hits the fan. Naturally, I'm sure they'll blame Clinton.

Not Clinton, just his penis. Jeez if you're gonna mock us, try and get it right! :P
