So they got the lighting perfect. That's not the perfect giveaway for CGI. I'm with VT on this. They have a physical table and a complete Vader suit, so it doesn't make sense that they'd do a shot like that with CG, wasting their time, when they can just spend part of a shooting day filming it in real life.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

Then they've just seriously fucked up the suit with cinematic effects (not that this would be the first time. We've all seen what happened to the sabres on the RotJ DVD, Pink, colour of Sith Lords). It still, in my opinion, looks shit compared to the original Vader.VT-16 wrote:That ain´t CGI! Look, I´ve seen that set with the table and Vader strapped to it! Only the background is CGI!
Jeez....
The robes themselves were always matt black, now they look leather. Compare.
Vader was all about the shiny suit...

If it looks like a Vader, quacks like a Vader.....NecronLord wrote:Then they've just seriously fucked up the suit with cinematic effects (not that this would be the first time. As mentioned before, the manacles also look a little daft. What practical puroouse do they serve? Symbolic perhaps, but somewhat out of place on a Sith Lord, IMO.VT-16 wrote: Fine, fine. An infintisimal detail wrong! It´s not the end of the world.

Roughly the same. Obviously they're lit differently, but to me they look like they're the same materials.NecronLord wrote:And compared to the original robes?Spanky The Dolphin wrote:They look cloth to me compared to the actual leather.

Why? He's a Sith Lord. He shouldn't need to be strapped to a table, what with pain control being pretty high on their list of stuff. More to the point, how precisely would they restrain him if he wanted up?VT-16 wrote:He´s strapped to a fucking table!

Because it's during his initiation/rebuilding.
Man, I've known that Vader would be strapped to a table for like five months now...

Necronlord does have a point. The straps are next to useless and seem to serve a merely symbolic purpose. A bash you over the head symbolic purpose. Having not seen the trailer I can't make a call on CGI or not but I would not be surprised if GL took liberal liberties with costume design etc. He has shown time and time again that little things like continuity mean nothing to him when he's writing his next instalments.NecronLord wrote:Why? He´s restrained because he´s just been put together, and because he might become upset when he finds out Palpatine´s been fibbing alittle....
I´m told he wrecks the room with the Force, but Palpatine manages to calm him down and takes control. I really don´t think he´s gonna break out of the Emperor´s chains that easily. Palpatine probably went and got some Vader-proof manacles.

Sith lord or not if during paching of Anakin back some resemblemse of a human people and/or droid woudn't him a all so it woud be easier (or maybe even possible) to operate on him (it not just the pain).NecronLord wrote:Why? Yeah. The thing is, they attached Luke's new hand without such things... Would it be so out of it to assume that Star Wars has good anastetics?
