The explanation I heard from spoilers is that 'Palpatine' is merely a disguise of Darth Sidious. It's simply the appearance and identity he puts up, primarily through the Force.

That's pretty much the revealing 'secret' of his identity that's been talked about and debated. It's backwards from how most people assume Sidious is Palpatine's secret identity/pseudonym, like he's a superhero or something.

THat doesn't make much sense though. If your expending Force power to change your apperence while your not 50 feet from a huge nest of Jedi who would hunt you down and kill you if they knew about you.

Well, Laird kicks ass, since he was kind enough to not send me the link like I asked him not to.

The trailer was pretty frickin sweet. It's blasphemy, but I think the latest Halo 2 trailer was a bit better, though. Meh.

Still, Episode III will, without a doubt, KICK ASS all up and down the movie theater I work at. Unfortunately, I work there so I'll get stuck with some cranky redneck asshole who doesn't want to wait in line for his movie. Nevermind that the showing before his isn't even over yet.

No, what would be wrong is that Palpatine was some fucking clone that was himself being manipulated by Sidious. Something like what's going to happen has been essentially known from the beginning.

Ok, either I had some kind of mental breakdown and didn't post the link to the torrent of the file or I did and a mod decided it was a Bad Thing tm. As such, it won't get posted again till a mod says it's ok. But It could accidentally get e-mailed out to someone who doesn't want it if you get my drift...

Edit: Damn it. There aren't enough people not downloading that torrent to let me get a good speed if i were dowloading it which i'm not.

The Wookies look bad-ass in CG.

The duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan will be bad-ass.

Are those Vader's hands? They look so ... small. Villains need to have big hands! He's got little pussy hands!

Meh, I have no problem with Palpy using Force 'shrinkage' or whatever, to decrease his 'signiture' or whatever. That makes some sense, considering he was sitting right next to the Jedi freaking temple while in the Senate.

But to have an 'active' power going to cloack you? Just doesn't track. I mean, I realize the whole 'arrogant Jedi' thing is happening but still......all it would take is for one of those damn kids to go "Hey, Master, why is that old man over there just oozing the Dark Side thing you've been talking about....Master."

But like I said, its a minor thing. Something to bitch about after I've been wooowed by the awesome space battle that I've been waiting for since 1999.

As I said, it's on alt.binaries.starwars if your news server carries it. They have a lot of current stuff there for the taking btw. If you need a newsreader, go to forteinc.com and download Forte Agent, then configure it for your ISP's news server...

The full trailer is about a 15 megabyte QuickTime movie, like every other trailer from starwars.com has been.
