Magi Government Marches into Spain!

Troops marched across the border today, in accordence to an secret agreement with local governments. Repsentives of the Magi Government have reported that Spain will be joining into a union with France.

Well, I was finally able to be contacted by ST last night about this... I am here begging to have my build since my computer's processor fried. This has not only affected this game of Dip for me, but also an online tourney, thus costing me the entire game in that game. I'm only able to get online at night, now, using my roommate's laptop, and even then, I have to share the computer, which limits my being able to actually contact people. Anyhow, I'm pleading for this build, and a chance of actually surviving this game of Diplomacy, on the grounds that I had a fried processor. Thanks.

An Open Letter Reaching Towards and Explanation of My Admittedly Not Very Honorable Recent Actions

Many of you may have surmised that until recently We and Italy had been allies, and that last turn - the Spring of the Lord's Year of 1903 - Our forces did attack those of Italy in violation fo that alliance. Such actions are not stricktly honorable, and thus I think that We do owe the world some explanation for our conduct.

The substance of Our Agreement with Italy was that We would assist each other in taking The Balkans from the Russians and the Turks, and from thence we would continue to attack Turkey. I was to get all of the Balkans, sans Rumania, and Italy was to get the rest. Unfortunatly We had failed to properly forsee that all of Our objectives in this course would be accompolished before the plan was complete, depriving us of any incentive to see the plan completed.

Now, that would be no reason to betray Our ally, and indeed there is more. The general Understanding that existed between Ourselves and Italy was that We would turn Our attention towards Russia while Italy continued their attack on Turkey.

Unfortunatly, we had come to an Understanding with the Russians concerning Turkey, which made us Loathe to betray them as we were Loathe to betray Italy. Furthermore, we were persuaded by our Friends the Germans that any attack on Russia would be most Inconsiderate towards them, as the Russians were in a strugle with England, and their horrible Defeat might have undesireable Consequences.

Finally, if I had stayed beside Italy in the alliance, that would only have postponed the inevitable. After the war with Turkey, his forces would be to either side of mine, and such a Configuration tends to invite war quickly.
