Yes he did, watch ROJT. While he's cackling and stuff you see his teeth (saber clash between Vader & Luke in front of him) and when he's zapping Luke with lightning he's gritting his teeth, and you can see the rotten stains.

Palpy has the same weird-ass features (huge bags under the eyes, strange brows) and yellow reptilian eyes (with red around them on the whites of his eyeballs). Granted, in a few scenes his makeup looks different in ROTJ, but that one scene I think it's clear that it's him.

In the 2004 ESB scene with Ian, the makeup he's using isn't identical to ROTJ, but it's pretty close. It's supposed to be the same character. And even though he's a hologram, his yellow eyes are unmistakable in that scene.

And maybe he just got a new robe in 20+ years (I hope so!).

Shriveled old man? I would agree with you except for the eyes, more or less. But watch the scene where he's saying "Oh.. I'm afraid, the deflector shield will be quite operational, when your friends arrive..." he looks like an alien! (well, by cheap-o sci fi standards)

Sometimes Palpy does remind me of some guy in a halloween mask or some elderly goth guy, but that may be the effect they were going for. I mean Maul reminds many people of a classic "devil" too. That was intentional.

we know that palpatine was experimenting with clones so he could transfer his soul into them. Perhaps he was using clones that lacked any force abilities whatsoever to manipulate people in the senate while keeping his real body/soul/whatever hidden until it was time to move into position to take over the republic entirely and begin purging jedi?

Isn´t there a good dentist the Sith have access to? This is so cliche. Why can´t Palpatine continue to decay SLOWLY from ROTS to ROTJ?

Seriously, he looks, like he has been around since the last Sith-War a thousand years ago.

The more i see, the more i think, that ROTS, while going to be a good popcorn-movie, will be a disappointment.

it's entirely possible that he has been. Especially when you figure that nobody knows who palpatine's mentor was, and his huge cloning facility full of backup bodies.

You can read up on it at supershadow's site. I'm not sure how legit the site is, but the creator claims to be a close friend of Lucas'. Though I don't see why a friend would release that much information.. especially when LucasFilms at least knows about the site.

if it's not endorsed by the company i have absolutely no reason to believe it being any kind of canon whatsoever.
