Was that some sort of early Imperial lambda/landing craft tucked away to the left behind the wookies? It looked like it had 2 folded up wings and a main fin, didnt look like a walker.

Yes, it does.

it's entirely possible that he has been. Especially when you figure that nobody knows who palpatine's mentor was, and his huge cloning facility full of backup bodies.
That of course will be intriguing, to find out who trained Palpatine in the ways of the Force and kept him a secret from the Jedi Order's watchdogs. We already got some of Palpatine's backstory in Cloak of Deception, so it's possible we'll get something similar to the Eugenics Wars novels (this of course will depend on the revelations made in ROTS).

For some of you asking if Supershadow.com is legit, it is absolutely not. SS is one of the biggest frauds around, he steals other sites' summaries and info, as well as pretending to be Lucas's friend. There's even an entry in wikipedia concerning him!

 I think I almost fried my keyboard with drool while watching the trailer...

Now I need to figure out how to hibernate until it hits theaters.

Both, a lamba like, but the wings fold parallel to the top one, not bent in, and the and some walkers to the left and right, with treaded tanks in the middle. The walkers have three legs, huh.

With the risk of sounding redundant, that was pretty good.

Looks badass but then again, so did the teasers for TPM and AOTC. Maybe the full trailer will shed more light.

The previous posts show that Occam's Razor isn't enough, Palpatine being Sidious raises complexity on how he could hide his powers, as well as the difference between the faces shown in the trailer. The Dark Side hard to detect and Jedi getting weak isn't sufficient for the first question.
Maybe I'm just dumb, but It doesn't look to me like any issues of complexity have been raised. Why isn't him being hideously powerful enough for you? :?

Has Palpatine showed any hiding powers anywhere else to support this claim?

Or, any Sith?

If not, getting a new power for someone is on the same ground on getting a 2nd person in the show. None of them are simpler than the other.

Considering such feats might of been in the EU, in the EU Palpatine has also been known to have clones and transferring his spirit through them. The '2 different people' hypothesis still has substance to support it.

I believe him masking his powers comes from the actual movies, in which Palpatine is very close to a lot of the head Jedi, and they [the Jedi] never detect anything from him. We know Palpatine is powerful (see DE I and II), so it seems reasonable that he is able to cloak his powers rather well.

Aha, during the EU OT period the average Imperial citizen thought that the Emperor was just a nice old man. Obviously not the toothless, wrinkled wonder from ROTS and ROTJ.

About the clones, that doesn't support your claim at all; He was transferring his force-ghost thingy from his dying body to a specially-prepared clone, not absorbing someone else's force powers!

Look, Sidious, the Emperor and Palpatine are played by the same actor! Sidious is *not* Palpatine's father's sister's former roomate's clone, that's just retarded!

His position is that Palpatine didn't have any force powers until a scene in RotS where he absorbs Sidious' powers. Never mind that if Palpy wasn't blocking the Jedi's powers they would've been able to read his mind and work out what he was going to do!

They're Venator-class Star Destroyers.
"Venator-class?" Am unfamiliar with this. From where did you hear this name?

According to the Hyperspace section from the official site, we get to see a gunnery bay in operation aboard one of the Separatist cruisers...we see droids loading some sort of cartridges into the cannons, the cannons recoil violently and slide back when fired, and the droids remove spent cartridges...a sort of high-tech in-joke at pirate movies, I guess.

Hmmm....unless the cannons use up tibanna gas in individual "shells" does this imply that the cannons on the Separatist cruiser are not turbolasers but rather projectile weapons?? I would surmise the former.

The disagreement is in how he could do this. So this couldn't be the example

How did they think the Emperor that way? Media? Seeing him actually? Mere memories of the day he claimed the throne? I'd like to see more of this before I conceed.

If the Dark Side has side effects on peoples appearances, he'd still be the nice old man at the beginning and wrinkle off later. The appearances could be falsified with SW tech.

I conceed on this 'how he got the powers', but this also raises the possibility that the Nice Old Man, after thinking he killed Sidious, was actually sent his soul/essence/whatever into Palpy's body after the event.
Pcm979 wrote:Never mind that if Palpy wasn't blocking the Jedi's powers they would've been able to read his mind and work out what he was going to do!
Was this mentioned somewhere?

I'd leave off-world explanations to the last ditch. Temura Morrison is Jango Fett and Commander Cody, the "same actor" argument could also make Darth_Zod's clone hypothesis valid.

Edit: I mean the Nice Old Man after killing Sidious, was possessed by Sidious' soul/essence/whatever

Mace Windu appears to be committing suicide a la Obi Wan. He's right next to an enemy, slowly moving his weapon away from his guard, and looks pretty focussed. He's either getting turned (powering up for a huge, anger-driven swing) or he's letting himself lose. That sure ain't goingo ut like a punk.

Somewhere in hyperspace. Venator = Hunter.

Most evidence would indicate these *particular* weapons are flak guns, which apparently Obi-Wan flies through.

Help, people. Where's that reference to Palpy being loved?

Also, isn't there a scene in The Crystal Star where Luke makes himself look different using the Force?

Although I'm still not quite convinced of the 'only 1 person', but Palpatine doing something like this would be fucking cool to watch on the screen.

"Nice Old Man": Since there's no reason to hide....

Nice old face gradually turns in to a wrinkled guy with bad teeth, unleashes hell....
