I came. I saw. I laughed at the USA and went to work in the morning.

Then again I kinda expected this since my opinion of the US and their people in general couldn't sink lower anyway.
Please note the 'hoping that someone would', not the 'if I had nukes I'd use them'. And I wouldn't like the 'someone that would', cause he'd make an immoral decission, however currently I'd say the US deserves it if it gets such a thing.Dalton wrote:Odd thought for a self-professed pacifist.Sokartawi wrote:Started hoping that someone would nuke the US to the point we have a huge Panema Canal and still do

I laughed at you silly Americans and then I became an EU supporter. Because I realized that the world can't be run by such a massively religious and under-educated place like the US are today. I mean, okay, so Bush practially cheated his way into office the first time, it could have happened to any country (well not really), but now he's voted back? And the majority voted for him because of his "moral values"?! That's just unbelievable. So I'm just waiting for a new depression like the one in the 30's and then we'll take over from there.

nothing, because it really won't make a difference in:
iraq: we'll still be there. Kerry had no plans for pulling out, and no public plans for doing anything differently
the economy: it's been slowly growing for three years, and will continue to do so regardless of who the President is. The only difference in Kerry's economic policy (actually the only statement he made that was clear) was to raise taxes for 2% of the population.
the war on terror: Bin laden doesn't give a fuck who the President is
The Gay Marriage issue: Both men opposed marriage and supported civil unions anyway, so whats the difference?

Re: Initial (extreme) reactions to the Election.
I'd have had pretty much the same feelings had Kerry been elected (execpt wanting to beat the snot out of Liberals, vice Republicans of course).THEHOOLIGANJEDI wrote:Mods if this is either in the wrong forum, is redundant, etc. Do what you wish.
I'm just curious, what were some of the more extreme feelings and reactions to the election results, if any. By extreme I mean: Did you Scream at the TV, beat up you Republican friend, etc.
Me, I just thought that maybe all the wackjobs who voted for Bush should be faced with another terror attack. In some respect I was actually rooting for Bin Laden. I also hoped that the US would suffer a massive recession that would dwarf the Great Depression. Those NeoCon wackjobs need to be taugh a lesson!!
Then I calmed down a bit. So what about the rest of you.

Gee, I dunno, maybe it's because Bush wanted to amend the Constitution to ban gay marriages. And where did Bush support civil unions?Col. Crackpot wrote:The Gay Marriage issue: Both men opposed marriage and supported civil unions anyway, so whats the difference?

Meh...its a start by stating civil untions should be allowed. However, I would prefer an appology for lying and being manipulative.
Initial reaction: my hopes had been slowing dwindling after Florida was lost because I really thought it would go to Kerry. I yelled profanity at the tv, cursed and then became quiet and a little sad; I dislike Bush but can honestly say I have outright dislike (hate is too strong) for Karen Heyes (sp). I don't know why but that woman strikes an extremely flat chord with me. Was down for the day afterwards, like a bad hang over, that plus the entire election really wore me out. After talking with a former history teacher, he reminded me that the pendelum does swing, moderate Republicans will keep the President in line, and that the Democrats problem was in articulation. So now, I'm pretty much back to the way I was before, just with a little more determination next time but a little spite for my generation (still same percentages...I know I know...increased numbers but still....).

Wondering if all those Bush supporters in Bumfuck, Alabama and every other shitty ass rural town and county in America realise just how fucking stupid they are. And wishing the West coast had the balls to secede or join Canada.
Now, hoping Bush fucks things over bad enough that Republicans will be out of power for a long, long time come 2008.

Oh yes, not allowing them to legally discriminate against people who offend their religious beliefs is "intolerance" of themIntolerance of Christian values is a must!
Nice black/white fallacy, fucktard. Anything less than total surrender to a theocratic mindset is "intolerance" bordering on persecution, eh?Death to those Theist bastards! Oh no, Christian values must be held above all others. The Bible should be law! Hail Jesus, our Eternal Emperor, with George W. Bush as the Divinely Chosen Leader of Jesusland! We shall drive out the nonwhites and homosexuals and the rest of the Sodomites and have a glorious, white, God-fearing nation ready to show the light of Christ to all those freedom-loving heathens!KrauserKrauser wrote:War is the only option! If America's democratic process actually did work then you wouldn't have the problem in the first place.KrauserKrauser wrote:

Hmmm... Don't the christian fundamentalists and the rest of the Republican rural electorate form the core of the US gun-nut cult? Im not so sure the civilized urban liberals should get involved in a shootout with those guys!Spyder wrote:Nothing really, came to the conclusion that the US is officially screwed and is likely in need of another civil war.
