They probably went to one of those places where you can just buy the bins and got 30 pounds of white legos.

I've seen it n person and know the builders. It is a sight to behold up close. I have 6 Lego AT-ATs but haven't had the time to build them.

I wish Legos would come out with those 5 minifig sets again. :(

Buying a bunch of AT-ATs or Snowspeeders just to get figures is very annoying and expensive.

heh, I wasn't the only one to think of making shield generators out of the 4 MF quadrents. Oh and ewwwwww, they used the new version MF. That thing is so ugly compared to the one that was already out.

I like the new MF better than the old one, personally. Now, I don't have the original to compare it to, but I do have the new one, and I just feel that it's nicer. The only thing that the original has better over the new one is the right scale mandibles. Otherwise, I think the new one looks better than the older one.

Dare to Compare: Original, New

Either way, though, that Hoth is a nice set-up. I'm not too big on the walkers, but I guess they were trying to create kind of a scale. It's just really hard to do scale for LEGO's, though.

Its horribly disproportionate, and looks like crap.

One can never spend too much time or money on Legos, it is impossible.

OT real quick, I didn't realize they had a difference in the Falcon Lego's. If you had the time and money I could see buying both, and using the mandible setup off the first on the newer one producing a better looking Falcon.

One dissappointing fact is the Hasbro Falcon. I have the '97 release which is really the original with a new paintjob. The new release this year is the same way. Better paint job. If they went to all the trouble to make a 3 ft royal cruiser, why not make a scale Falcon, or at least something close.

If the walkers were to a bigger scale that would be a supremely kick ass Hoth. Right now its just damn good mainly because of the massiveness and effort put into it.

That terrain looks like the real bitch; to make the landscape probably took him/her at least 12-15 hours by hand. As for the other pieces, if they came in a kit, it probably only took him about 4-5 hours. If not, who knows- as long as it took him to figure out piece order. I'm guessing an additional 3-4 hours, since I remember it took me nearly twice as long to put together a lego castle a second time(first time I put it together with the guide) without the guide.
