Where'd they stick a pair of turbolasers? first I've heard. Combine with the near tripling of the missile capacity the Falcon must have nil cargo space left.

As of Destiny's Way, she's got light turbolasers instead of the quadlasers. Leia's Noghri bodyguards often man them (thought not always).

Quickly enough to engage starfighters. It's not as if they're putting MTLs on the thing!

[quote="Isolder74"]What spacecraft would you spend your hard earned money on?

Gotta have it. It's the SUV of the universe and chicks dig it. A great portable love nest with some serious scoot & shoot capability. I'd want that Twi'lek jedi girlie to be my copilot. Have an R2 for repairs, a couple Droidekas to act as sentinels when I'm out & about, and a set of Biker Scout armor that's been camoflaged and upgraded al la Boba Fett style. Couple of speeder bikes and some E-11's and heavy blasters and we're set.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

You did say that we had enough money to buy our ship, didn't you? Or was that in the CapShip thread?

And speaking of cargo I could use my freighter to ship/smuggle stuff between planets or even use it to ship stuff around on a planet from city to city. The only thing I would need then would be to befriend a wookie and I am in buisness.
I see what this is leading to but a light corvette falcon would really cut into your cargo space
Cargo space is a trade off i will comfortably give to have a freighter Pirates are not going to want to tangle with. The importance of being able to deliver cargo to the apropriate destination reliably is what will keep me in buisness. I am more interested in atracting the smaller shipments that need more protection than the maximum cargo I can carry.

That reminds me of an Air Force joke I heard:

Two pilots for the new F-22 Raptors were bragging about all the special capabilites of their respective aircraft. A C-130 pilot is nearby and tells them," I can do stuff in my plane that you would never dream of doing in yours."

"Bullshit", replied the two fighter jocks.

"OK. I'll show you."

The C-130 pilot boards his craft and takes off. He flies in a straight line for a while and then takes a very wide turn and returns to the runway.

"What was so special about that?", asked the Raptor pilots." What did you just do that we can't do better?"

"Well," said the cargo pilot," I got up, stretched my legs, had some coffee and took a piss."

I like that joke... I used to want to go into the Air Force.

I'd probably have to go with the Delta Flyer... it just looks cool. I'd rather have a more maneuverable, smaller craft, like the TIE Advanced, but Darth's Bright just sucked in my opinion. So if I can get a later-model Bright cool, but otherwise the Flyer.
Horza sat down on his haunches, hands closed round the run barrel in front of him, eyes staring out at the distant jungle. What a mess, he thought, what a fucking, obscene, stupid mess. He hadn't been thinking of what Gow had just done to herself, but he looked round at the red stain on the angled wall and the collapsed shape of Gow's suit, and thought it again.

The others are fighters and too small, and the Falcon just seems too big, So, I go with the Flyer. That and its a hot rod.
