In thinking about it, I thought that the entire movie might be suffering from something similar, in that too much extraneous stuff was left in while important stuff (such as the legitimizing scene with Padme's family) was taken out. I'm tempted to go and create an entirely new edit of AOTC, replacing certain deleted scenes and paring down other scenes, in order to create a "better" version. I don't have the time to do this, but it's fun to think about
Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here's the latter half of the edited Anakin/Padme scene in Sorenson QuickTime format. Comments/thoughts on this edit and this idea in general are very much welcome.
There's a bit of a glitch in Anakin's position in the last shot because I cut out some dialogue without bothering to re-composite. At 5am, it's too early to bother re-compositing and masking footage
I also need to find a better QuickTime audio codec. The freeware QDesignMusic2 is okay, but as you can clearly tell from this file, it could easily be better...
