Uber-Jedi Wars is canon? *cries* It was great and all, and for once we didn't get the minimalizing most EU gets... But the jedi were overkill in most situations.
I'm talking about the animated series that ran on Cartoon Network. I don't know where are they situated on the canon scale, but it's the only official example of such powers. I think they might come with a simillar explanation for Palpatine.

Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about too. I don't know where it fits on the canon scale either. I'd imagine not very high at all.

It is in the C-canon category just like everything that isn´t in the movies, and hasn´t been contradicted by a newer source.

And Asajj killed the alien who greeted Dooku, it is implied in the dialogue and in the commentary.

I know this is late, but could you PM it to me?

Or tell me where I can find it on-line, please.

Go to google and type in "Return of the Sith trailer" (you must use "Return of the Sith") and it will take you right there. Please note, mods, that this is not a direct link.

Did it. Very cool. Any idea what the two ships in that battle over Coruscant were?

A Venator class destroyer and possibly General Grievous´ ship, "The Invisible Hand".

Though I still don´t understand why a General is in command of a ship, shouldn´t that go to a Captain or an Admiral?

Another thing that irks me is that most, if not all, of the ship types and vehicles in this movie will get proper names and classifications, while the Mon Cals in ROTJ are still stuck with either the "every ship is unique"-bullshit or the mis-labelling.

Is that an official rank in the Republic(or Separatists)? It's possible that if he is acting for the separatists or new Imperialists, it's a self-selected rank that he's chosen to make himself seem more powerful(kind of like calling yourself "Your great and illustrious excellency.").

He´s the supreme commander of the droid armies of the Separatists. I still don´t understand what he´s doing on a SHIP! :P

In that case, he's probably just the highest ranked officer on the ship.

It's also possible that there's no separate commander for the CIS fleet and Gen Grevious is the supreme commader of all separist military forces (with Dooku's role being a spiritual leader (all tought Dooku is senior to Grevious).

The latest databank update seems to agree with this.

LOL that's like during ANH, calling Vader spiritual leader of the empire.

I'd think that people from the outside view count Dooku is the leader of the seperatists. But on the inside, Dooku is an emissary for Lord Sidious.

My terminlogy may not the best possible, what I meant is Grevious is the commander of the military forces, while Dooku controls the leader council (or what ever it's called) of the CIS and defines the spirit of the separtists (I dout the polical leaders of the CIS know that Dooku is Sith).

it's entirely possible that he has been. Especially when you figure that nobody knows who palpatine's mentor was, and his huge cloning facility full of backup bodies.
You can read up on it at supershadow's site. I'm not sure how legit the site is, but the creator claims to be a close friend of Lucas'. Though I don't see why a friend would release that much information.. especially when LucasFilms at least knows about the site.
Just FYI (a huge 'duh' for most everyone here), SuperShadow (and his site) are full of it. He may be a bit of an insider (doubtful), he may have contacts that are insiders, but his claims of being a close personal friend of Lucas are utterly unsubstantiated BS, unless he's part of some mininformation campaign and deliberately gets stuff wrong or Lucas lies to him constantly (some friend then eh?).

His info on the trailer is actually incorrect, as if he hasn't watched the trailer himself (as of the first posting of that material, some time before the trailer was leaked) but pieced together the info from spy reports.

The fact that he more and more is saying "I can't reveal this or that" is just a clever way of saying "people don't believe me anymore, so I won't make up BS that can prove me wrong again like in the past."

There's sites debunking his claims to being Lucas's friend and working for ILM, or having several model gilfriends, etc. What has he demonstrated to know about Star Wars that any fool with a hyperspace account and a subscription to SWI wouldn't know already?

If you still believe the guy isn't nuts, and you've read the wikipedia debunking of him, check out his "girlfriend" (model pic/scan??), the pic of him (male model??) and his "scripts" (which are full of errors and fanboy-sounding speculation).

Read his "description" of the trailer as you watch and you'll see what I mean, unless of course he's bothered to update it now that the trailer is out officially on the 'net. So forget the Penari Lightsabers, Kyber Crystals and Clone Darth Vaders. These are just the fanatasies of a fanboy webmaster. 'Nuff said...

Shape shifting (biological: Zam Wessel, changeling) and appearance changing (mechanical: holograms, Essential Guide to Weapons & Technology) exists in Star Wars. In the Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy games, you can use Mind Trick to make the enemy Stormtroopers think that you are an officer for example. Low level but still there. Mind Trick makes people think you aren't there, or literally makes you invisible to the unaided eye (Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith). Again games, but still, they are examples...

After reading that wikipedia entry on supershadow (whom I had never heard of until now), I'm convinced it's a parody of delusional sw fans.
