I'll have to disagree about the best movie music; for me, it's a tossup between Star Wars and Blade Runner.
What about the Cowboy Beboop Movie then? ;)

 there's a Cowboy Beebop movie?? Is it available in stores? Oh, yeah, and do they even still play the show anymore on cartoon network? CN used to have a bunch of cool anime and spoof shows, but they took off Aduly Swim in favor of showing nothing but Powerpuff Girls and Johnny Bravo 24-7 *sigh*

B5 is good too, and Doctor Who was amusing.

I love the Imperial March. But why hasn't anyone mentioned the Battlestar Galactica theme? I love that theme. There's a rendition of it on my Media page.

From movie series? Star Wars. A couple The Wrath of Khan and maybe a couple other Trek movies would come in next, but some of the Trek music is worthless. BTTF also has very good scores.

From TV series? Most of today's tv scores are forgettable, but the scores from the original Star Trek were quite good.

Star Wars.
Has anyone noticed the striking similarity between the Back to the Future theme and Yoda's theme??? Also, one thing I've always wondered was what ever happened to that chamber music heard in Jabba the Hutt's court? It's not on any CDs or tapes, records, nothing. I wonder if Williams even composed it or if the music editors just stuck it in and used different instruments to make it sound exotic. It sounds very familiar...and is pretty damned good chamber music at that. lol
