I have not gotten over an infatuation in say, a year. Then again I used to be a self mutilating suicidal antisocial paranoid psycho, and I still am very emotionally unstable and very antisocial and paranoid, and I'm now on prozac, just quit the risperdal since it makes me slow. The only place I can feel safe talking to people is the internet.

In order to stave off depression/insanity ect. I decided to keep myself busy. I've want to learn Romanian, read Paine, Niestche, Clemens ect. wish me luck in my future endeavers.

P.S. I'm not going to forget about her I'm just "setting" her aside for a while.

One of my favorite moments of teaching an advanced class was when a guy asked a girl if she would "get in the corner" with him. I was about to step in and punish him for sexual harrassment, but she calmly told him:

Tim, I will never go out with you. I will never, in my most drunken moment, consider sleeping with you, and regardless of how many plastic surgeries you have I will never consider you even remotely attractive.

At that point, everyone agreed with me that he needed no further punishment. And her boyfriend and two of her lady friends stepped in, so I figured at that point I didn't need to deal with it.

As you can see, Tosho, this isn't the first time such a thing has happened to a guy. Besides, ask yourself this: If she treated you like that just for asking her out, do you REALLY want to go out with her. That was advice I always gave my students when something like this happened. Remember, there's more to you than this girl, and there WILL be someone in your life who treats you with the respect you deserve.

Tosho, you can't unilaterally choose your girlfriend. People sort of mutually choose each other. Cheer up, hang around people, see if you can spot a girl sending you signs of interest, and then respond. But you can't make somebody want you if they don't.
