And where does he say that he lives in an abusive environment? read it again and find where he says that he is going to get smacked around
And the point sails over your head. Get it straight no one is suggesting he lives in an abusive enviroment or that his father regularly beats him or something. They're suggesting that comparing his father to Hitler is a risksy idea likey to prompt a emotional and phyiscal response. Hence the smack.
So now you are a mind reader? you know the likely responce of a person you dont know to a given stimuli? fuck off.

If there's any risk he's going to get smacked, it's an abusive environment, and one he should get out of or alert relevant authorities to.

Otherwise, I think he needs some perspective - give him the hitler comparison.
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

nitpick, Turkey isn't a Arabic country.
yes it is.

Over 99% of the population is Muslim, it is in the middle east and shares borders with iran, syria and iraq. Just because the government says that it is officially a secular state does not mean that it is not arabic.

There is a difference between being Arab and being Muslim. Indonesia and Pakistan are both predominantly Muslim, yet neither are Arab nations. Lebanon is an Arab nation, yet it still has a lot of Christians. And so on.

Indeed, neither Turkey nor Iran are Arabic countries.

Arguing with your father is pointless. He will never take your arguments that seriously because he saw you in diapers. That's the reality.

They have enough culture in common to be considered common, just like AUstralia has enough culture in common with Europe to be considered an offshoot of Europe, rather than an offshoot of Asia.

The prime enthic group in Turkey are the Turks, who are a seperate group from the Arabs. The Turks came down from Central Asia, the Arabs from Arabia, completly different orgins. Turkey is not an Arab nation in any sense of the word.

Ah... no, Turks aren't Arabic... they were tribes that originally came from central asia. They don't even speak Arabic. Just because it is in the middle east and is a Muslim country doesn't mean that it's a Arabic country.
t is in the middle east and shares borders with iran, syria and iraq.
Iran isn't a Arabic country neither... they're Persian.
