You wouldnt believe...just take a look at MoO's sig, and thats a MILD example of Bagara's stupidity.

You'll love this quote.
You mean you'll fail to use logic or the scientific method appropriately, engage in any reasonable degree of suspension of disbelief, ignore the large majority of evidence, etc etc, and then substitute volume and repetition for actually learning or understanding anything.
;)

We're not the ones claiming that planets spontaneously explode, Mr. Scientific.

Not that it was hard to say that no material doors, banana phasers and exploding consoles are stupid anyway. I'll leave the quantatitive analysis to the more accomplished, and stick to the qualitative for now.

Hey, I couldn't resist. Come on, you have to admit that it's an obvious example of why relying solely on force fields is stupid, and I would have been remiss not to include it. :P

Try getting your facts straight before you accuse others of not having theirs. It's common knowledge in contemporary astrophysics, that planets can spontaneously explode (ala Ceti Alpha VI in STII)
This douchebag actually believes planets can spontanously explode by themselves because he saw it in ST?

That must mean tapping a mystical energyfield and using it to push objects around is possible due to seeing it in SW! :P

Unfortunately you were wrong. Wesley used the phaser to "try" and cut through a forcefield. It didn't work :D

That so reminds me of The Simpsons. To paraphrase from their UN meeting in "You Only Move Twice,"

Trektard 1: Maybe that planet blew up on its own.

Trektard 2: We can't take that chance.

Trektard 3: You always say that. I want to take a chance.

Warsies: Blew up on its own? You stupid.... You have 24 hours.

Newland is dishonest... even if he'll conceed on a point in Thread A, he'll just go back to arguing that point again in Thread B. He doesn't want a debate, he just wants to be an ass.

Glad I didn't bother signing up...

Wha? Newland took my comment that it's no wonder that a photon torpedo could destroy a station that sucks so badly as the Lysian command station as a concession that Trek torpedoes can overcome Wars shields. What. The. Hell.

I just goty my first warning for posting a "fan fiction" about Robert Scott Anderson.

Can anyone tell me exactly where in my fan fiction I mentioned "Robert Scott Anderson"?
Avatar Of Narendra III wrote:I send this message as your first warning. you will be sent one more, and when you infringe on the rules a third time, you will be banned.

This message is in response to your thread in the fanfiction section of e forum. Concerning Mr. Robert Scott Anderson, I consider this a personal attack and request that you desist with it.
My response:

I consider this message the most idiotic thing I've ever received.

Please point out where in that fan fiction Mr. Robert Scott Anderson is either mentioned or named.

I'd like an apology from you once you see that you acted irrationally and without any cause whatsoever.

I should probably just sign up, but here's some arrow shots that unless legally blind cannot refute that the arrow passes over the backpack, highlited and zoomed for your viewing pleasure.

Quick shameless self promotion here, I'm a professional VFX artist and compositor, and here's an article to prove I'm at least a decent one  I'm no amateur at Photoshop etc, just incase they want to whine about these pics.

http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_1669.html
Lets start with the effects. This is one place where I found that this movie beat out The Stink of Flesh, my #1 indie zombie flick. In fact I think the effects beat out almost any zombie movie I have seen with the acception of the 2004 adaptation of Dawn of the Dead.

So to recap, the effects in this movie were second to none. Well done and you could not tell that they were done on a shoestring budget. The crew behind the FX need to pat themselves on the back and start shopping around for big hollywood gigs. They have the talent. The packaging on the dvd was very well done, and the intro in this movie is the best intro i have seen for an indie zombie movie hands down.
My name is on the movie poster and mods or whoever has access to my account info can see the name matches. http://www.moviesonline.ca/gallery_deta ... ie%20Night
/end shameless self promotion

Oh wait, it's the one on Clerks?

Here's your mention of RSA:
RANDALL: I work in a SHITTY video store.

DANTE: How do you figure?

RANDALL: Have you ever rented a video from RSA Videos?

DANTE: No, I go to Big Choice.

RANDALL: Exactly.
Since I haven't seen Clerks, pardon my ignorance, what is RSA videos? Maybe the mod hasn't seen it either.

My fanfic has "RSA VIDEOS" in it. How can this possibly be a personal attack on "Robert Dciott Anderson"

Directly below is this:
RANDALL: The guy that owns the video store re-edits the movies to fit his own world view.

DANTE: You're kidding!

RANDALL: Gospel truth.

DANTE: How does he justify such a thing?

RANDALL: He says the video distributors are Rabid Warsies and its up to him to edit the videos back to their PROPER and CORRECT form.

DANTE: "Rabid Warsies" ?

RANDALL: Rabid Warsies.

Utterly absurd. I think we can coin a new logical fallacy--appeal to Darkstar.

"You see now you are using your thinking and that is not a good thing!" DMJay on StarTrek.com

"Watching Sarli argue with Vympel, Stas, Schatten and the others is as bizarre as the idea of the 40-year-old Virgin telling Hugh Hefner that Hef knows nothing about pussy, and that he is the expert."--Elfdart

Can someone with more scientific knowledge analyze this?

Newland keeps quoting this page claiming 10 gigaton phasers. Ridiculous, but the page still claims 910 megaton minimum for phasers.
