Some turkeys are more worthy of protection than others. For example, turkeys that happen to be US citizens have human rights, but those that aren't, don't. Yes, this is a jab at the Bush administration's attitude that human rights are to be respected only as much as they have to respect them.

They die in a few weeks, because they're so overweight.

I think the turkey would be much more beneficial if we ate it.

And as a random fact, most turkeys now days are inbred, and as a result, very stupid. They are too stupid to seek shelter from rain and some are unable to breed because they don't know how. Hence one of the worse jobs in existence - turkey masturbators.

As a side note, many of the turkeys are physically incapable of mating anyway because their body structures are so screwed up, so the females must be artificially inseminated.
