That's the power of sophistry and bullshit. Creationists have realized it, religious fundamentalists have realized it, psychic readers have realized it and fanatics like Dorkie have realized it. Dress up anything in enough buzzwords, jargon and false intellectualism and you'll have people eating out of the palm of your hand. It takes very little to get someone to believe something that's total bullshit if you know how to sell it. This is why hucksters and scam artists can ply their trade: there's a sucker born every minute, and for every ten suckers you get a free scumbag recruiting them into their little group of believers.DarkSilver wrote:....one question....
why do people lookup to him again?
I'm not that well vested in any one particular branch of science (just a general all roundedness if you would) but even I don't beleive half the shit he spouts....
Darkstar has followers because he sounds good. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about, he's passionate about it and, this is key, his followers have an absolute inability to think for themselves. And like a lot of these other dipshits, he actually believes what he's saying. He has, essentially, started The Cult of the VS. Trekkie.
Oh, and this is to the various toadies of Darkstar who I'm sure will report this back to him: it's not too late. You still have many years of school to go; I'm sure that, eventually, enough neurons might start firing for you to at least realize how full of shit your master is. Failing that, well, at least you can look forward to a life in the service industry. Oh, while you're here, please tell Scooter to lick my grundle.
