Actually this shows clearly that Rommel's african operations (and all the operations against him) were absolutely insignificant on the grand scale of events.
The bulk of German forces has always been deployed to the Eastern front. Even the Western front opened in 1944 managed to steal only about 30% of total, not forgetting the fact that some of the Western front divisions were not in combat until 1945. Which makes the comparison even more stunning.

The total Allied military loss is estimated from 200.000 to 1.000.000. I won't be comparing that to military losses of Germany or Soviet Union... the result is already known.
