Queen- A Night at the Opera (1975)
Pink Floyd- The Wall (1979)
Black Sabbath- Heaven and Hell (1980)
KISS-Music From The Elder (1981)
The Police- Synchronicity (1983)
Van Halen- 5150 (1986)
Iron Maiden- Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988)
Tori Amos- Little Earthquakes (1992)

Some of you lot probably weren't even conceived when most of these were recorded and released, but the best music is also timeless :). What are some albums that you never get sick of?

I'm staying away from greatest hits or specific collections and just going with original releases.


The Beatles -- Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band (I played this one so much on my turntable that the needle carved some new channels into the record). :D

The Who -- The Who's Next Album

AC/DC -- Back In Black

Guns-N-Roses -- Appetite for Destruction

Queen -- It's A Kind of Magic

The Beatles -- Abbey Road

Metallica -- Load

Van Halen -- Van Halen

The Beatles -- The White Album


Aww, crap. I can't think of any more regular albums that deserve to be on my list so I'm going to mention The Beatles - Hey Jude. It was an interesting collection of Beatles songs but it's one of the records that really got me hooked on the Beatles, even if I don't listen to them much anymore I'm still a fan.

Albums? People buy albums nowadays???

I guess most of those came out before kazaa and the like ;) Still, I'm a single's type of guy. I have like 25 Led Zepplin songs on my HD, but have no idea which album(s) they came from. I guess that's just how my generation is

I actually did go out and buy an album last week...the first one I had actually purchased in two years. Neil Young's Greatest Hits....best shit ever man best shit ever.

Harvest is good but decade is better. Get both if you can though because harvest has a few awsome songs not found in decade (like "Are you ready for the country") but decacade has alot more songs (most of them falling into the 'Fucking Kickass' category). I listen to alot of compilations so I don't really have anything worthy of listing here (though all my music is legal!!! YAY).

I can get any and all music on the internet for free, but I still will buy a CD every once in awhile. Really the only reason I buy a CD, though, is out of respect for a particular artist. It's more of a donation to them for making such good music...it's like I'm doing charitable work ;) Cassettes (and especially vinyl) are a different story, because those are just old school and cool. Having a Zepplin CD is pretty cool, but having an original Zepplin record? Now that's just pYmp :P
