I'm thinking she should be shot. She comes off more as if she's trying to make small talk at a bar.

I suppose tech-preists have poor social skills.

I'm pausing posts to let the narrative flow of this hilarious conversation flow freely.

If it comes to that, why does a 7-foot tall armoured death machine thing have such great social skills?

Thank you. You could unpause your posts and stage a heroic victory if you felt like it. Just a thought. :P

Incidentally, I think the main reason why I'm finding it so hard to write with a straight face (as it were) is because I keep getting an image of Vorus being dragged face-down and the Airlock conversation from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The kind that rescues your tech-priest from her unseemly fate? Please... if the conversation is this funny, I can imagine how hilarious the excruciating torture and eventual agonizing death will be.

Or if you mean the kroot... coming up in a minute. It's no big deal, they're only xenos...

Is the Iron Man's name Marvin, BTW?

I'm honestly out of ideas here.

They've been around for weeks.

When you think as fast as they do, weeks doing nothing makes you a very good conversationalist.

Note: You really do have to talk them out of it. Not going for free here.

Here I was thinking I was asking for trouble by setting myself up for an ambush. :)

Ahh, misery loves company.

I would suggest starting by saying something meaningful quickly, as in cut to the chase before it defenstrates you.

I can't think of anything meaningful! What am I supposed to do, convince them that each life is precious, etc.? Gah.

You guys really can go on posting, y'know. I'm going to have to get back to this. In about 10 minutes.

Just so I can get my bearings before writing my next post: is the main Guard force just securing the Temple's entrance, or actually inside?
"The bird let out a slow chicken cackle. It sounded like a chicken, but in her heart she knew it wasn't. In that instant, she completely understood the concept of a chicken that was not a chicken. This looked like a chicken, like most of the Mud People's chickens. But this was no chicken.

The main guard force it outside. Jolan Gix is leading the vanguard that has actually penetrated the temple and cleared out the defenders of the entrance. How long this situation lasts is up to NecronLord, who declined to take advantage of an opportunity to ambush me. As far as I can tell, that just means he's just giving me enough rope to hang myself.

Eh, fun's over. I really hope Gyllia doesn't get splatted over the pavement or alternately eviscerated. Or shot, or any of a number of possibilities.

"Wait!" Gyllia said. "Isn't the any way I can convince you to let us live?"
You have any idea how many bad porn movies this reminds me of?

I can see it now...

I've killed in situations like this (as a GM), NecronLord said he wil kill you, and he seems to be nastier than I am (or it could just be the 40K). Talk him out of it or die.

Appeal to his reason.

Give ideas.

I'm having my fun here without killing anyone.

Ah, alas, this comic interlude will have to come to an end soon, but for now, enjoy.
