you realized that I just imagined him charging up san juan hill wounded, making an incredably long speach at the top for reporters and then proceeding to dig the panama canal by himself.....

What I find ridiculous is your inability to just stay out of a thread that actually might show something that everyone can agree with that might just be a good thing. Instead you decide you need to bring up anti-Bush rhetoric in a thread that really should be void of all such statements.SirNitram wrote:Wow, did that take you alot of effort to type out, little one? Your mother must be so proud.cyclonefever wrote:Let me guess... you wouldn't happen to be one of the members of the "anybody but Bush" cult would you? You call it a "circle-jerk" for thinking it's neat that the president would do the dirty work and help out a secret service agent? Fucking Christ.SirNitram wrote:Oh.. Lookie there.. A circlejerk. Well okay boys, make sure you have enough tissue to clean up the mess when you're done. And clean the tweezers before you put them back when you're done jerking. That's just nasty.
And let me know when Bush does something intelligent that might actually garner respect from those other than his fawning fanboys.
Yea, it's a mindless circlejerk in here. Sure, it's good that he wasn't going to stand there like a dipshit while this happened, but should I be impressed by a President acting more mature than a fourth grader? I thought the prevailing whine was that the President was a competent, mature adult.

Translation: If you're not going to join the circlejerk and post that George Bush is a True American Hero (TM) for doing this, go away.cyclonefever wrote:What I find ridiculous is your inability to just stay out of a thread that actually might show something that everyone can agree with that might just be a good thing. Wrong. In essence, don't make an arse out of yourself by berating Bush in some way , shape, or form every time you turn around even if it's for something decent.Slartibartfast wrote:Translation: If you're not going to join the circlejerk and post that George Bush is a True American Hero (TM) for doing this, go away.cyclonefever wrote:What I find ridiculous is your inability to just stay out of a thread that actually might show something that everyone can agree with that might just be a good thing. Wrong. Praising somebody who does something decent, once, as "a kickass president who don't take no shit from nobody" qualifies perfectly as a circlejerk. Nitram merely pointed it as such.cyclonefever wrote:Wrong. Next time it's going to be "G.W. Bush, a true gentleman! He opened the limo door for his wife instead of waiting for the driver to do so! He's a true inspiration to us all!"

Holy shit. Your trying to apply a slippery slope fallacy to something as trivial as this. Liberals never cease to amaze me with their constant berating.Slartibartfast wrote:Wrong. Nice try, bitchtits , I'm not a liberal, I'm one of those durn freedom hatin' foreigners.
How is it a slippery slope? It's about the same level in triviality, and I'm not the one shouting "praise Bush, he takes care of his own!" in a circle wank thread

Well some retards think that whenever "next time" is used, it's a slippery slope.Durandal wrote:Holy shit, you're using logical fallacy names as catch-all buzzwords to try and win an argument. "Next time you're in Denver come visit me." Oops, slippery slope!
The comment also really wouldnt qualify as a slippery slope fallacy, as I don't think he was seriously suggesting that would happen next, merely making a joke at the expense of the "Dubya Circle JerkTM." Maybe if you got your lips off of George Bush's cock for five minutes, you'd realize that.cyclonefever wrote:Holy shit. Your trying to apply a slippery slope fallacy to something as trivial as this. Why does a thread about how President Bush defied convention by sticking up for a Secret Service guy have necessarily to be an administration of fellatio? The comment also really wouldnt qualify as a slippery slope fallacy, as I don't think he was seriously suggesting that would happen next, merely making a joke at the expense of the "Dubya Circle JerkTM." Because nearly every single person goes "he's my hero! hail the president! more kickass than Schwarzenegger!" instead of just saying "it was a nice thing to do."Axis Kast wrote:Why does a thread about how President Bush defied convention by sticking up for a Secret Service guy have necessarily to be an administration of fellatio? The comment also really wouldnt qualify as a slippery slope fallacy, as I don't think he was seriously suggesting that would happen next, merely making a joke at the expense of the "Dubya Circle JerkTM." And who knows, just maybe it would have been the more correct thing to politely tell them to let him pass instead of just forcefully pulling him in, what does it say about respect to a foreign government?

Because it's an entertaining event. You're inflating the signifiance of the attention paid it.Because nearly every single person goes "he's my hero! hail the president! more kickass than Schwarzenegger!" instead of just saying "it was a nice thing to do."
First of all, that's beside the point that it makes for an entertaining story. And who knows, just maybe it would have been the more correct thing to politely tell them to let him pass instead of just forcefully pulling him in, what does it say about respect to a foreign government?
Second, on a more technical and meaningful level, I doubt that Chile's icy response to the President was predicated even minimally on that incident. I think, rather, it just stems from a general international satisfaction with Bush, who thanks to the diplomatic bungling of Iraq has come to stand for all that is ignorant in how the U.S. approaches the rest of the world.

We never said this thread was about fellatio; we said it was a circle-jerk. Completely different.Axis Kast wrote:Why does a thread about how President Bush defied convention by sticking up for a Secret Service guy have necessarily to be an administration of fellatio? The comment also really wouldnt qualify as a slippery slope fallacy, as I don't think he was seriously suggesting that would happen next, merely making a joke at the expense of the "Dubya Circle JerkTM." I don't think anyone is inflating the attention paid to it, just read up in the beginning of this thread to see the masturbation to this event.Because it's an entertaining event. You're inflating the signifiance of the attention paid it.

Bah, NOTHING compares to our previous Prime Minister Jean Chretien grabbing a protester by the neck and shoving him out of his way.
