StormTroopers vs. Aku-Ultan
Here's the scenario. A war has been going on between the Aku-Ultan and the Empire. So far it's been kept at a relative stalemate but losses for the Empire are off the charts. A single Aku-Ultan warrior has been stranded on a planet and a squad of 15 Stormtroopers have been given orders to take it.....alive. With it they may be able to tip the scales in their favor and win this war.
How do they fair in this task?

A centaur like creature from David Weber's books. It's really big and REALLY strong. This thing kicked an imperial trooper who had full powered armor on and it still hurt. My guess is that if that kick was against a Stormtroopers armor it'd go through both sides and probably into the guy behind him. Real stubborn too. And if the reports I've heard about the stun setting (Lasting for a few seconds) are true, then I would put my money on the Aku-Ultan easily against only 15 stormtroopers.

But the Tani don't go down easy. True the stormies will probably win eventually but against an armed centuar they're going to take heavy losses. Weapons in the Imperium-verse tend to make blasters look like pop guns.IG-88E wrote:Stun shots from blaster rifles can last for hours. If the stomies spread out and lay down a wave of fire, then they'll win with a couple losses.

Aku'ultan infantry weapons, however, are pretty low-key.
And How the hell do you figure losses for the Empire are off the charts?
How the Hell would your average Acuultani incursion fleet even reach the Empire with a speed of 48c.
Since When do 10 gigaton Antimatter missiles beat multi teraton turbolasers, combined with a strategic speed 500,000 times greater?

Now see here's the thing. I make a Dalek versus stormie thread- no one comments. Someone makes a stormie versus a obscure alien thread- everyone comments. What the hell.
I suck.
I suck.

Uhm the same projectile weapons that are considered 'nasty' by someone familiar with Imperium Grav Guns (you know the ones that fire 3mm darts composed of an explosive denser than uranium at 5.2 kilometers per second?)consequences wrote:Aku'ultan infantry weapons, however, are pretty low-key.
They'll take a really damn long time.. like they do with every incursion. And How the hell do you figure losses for the Empire are off the charts?

They do when they totally bypass your shields.Since When do 10 gigaton Antimatter missiles beat multi teraton turbolasers, combined with a strategic speed 500,000 times greater?
And the strategic speed doesn't mean much when the enemy doesn't have any supply lines or infrastructure for you to hit, but that's besides the point since this is an infantry vs. thread.

This is not the Aku-Ultani fleet vs. the Empire...
This is a single Aku-Ultan warrior vs. 15 stormies
And their infantry weapons, although only slug-throwers were tearing through the IMPERIAL STEEL OF POWERED ARMOR!

Make it a Narhani instead.
That is sick and twisted Xalev......
Sick...and horribly horribly twisted.
The "match" is rediculace, it's a horrible mismatch. The Narhani would tear through 15 stormies easy...and could probably take another 30 before possibly being taken down.

21st century earth rocket launchers could take out 4th Imperium combat armor, it isn't that difficult. Once again, the material technology superiority of the Empire comes into effect, along with the fact that the stormtrooper armor includes sensors, and the Acchultani is limited to Mark One eyeball.

True direct hits with anti-tank rockets would be a kill. But the same could be said of stormies.consequences wrote:21st century earth rocket launchers could take out 4th Imperium combat armor, it isn't that difficult. True, the Acchultani is limited to eyes. But they're going to have a hard time bringing him down without killing him. They take a lot of drugs to bring down a stun shot would probably be the same.

Except it's going know it's being shot at, and open fire. blasters are line of sight, it's going to know where to shoot. And it will kill the stormy that took the shot.consequences wrote:If the stormtroopers can detect it at will, and simply duck out of sight to evade it, and are in constant communication, they can simply shoot him from behind, then duck and let the troopers that were in front of it originally shoot, they could bring it down without it ever seeing them.

How does it see when the first warning it gets is getting shot in the ass. It turns around, sees nothing, gets shot in the ass again, repeat ad nauseum, if it refuses to turn, it takes continuous fire up the but as it charges forward to try to locate the stormtroopers in front of it. Besides, 1 stun bolt punched through Leia's character shields and instantly dropped her, are you claiming that 15 delivered simultaneously wouldn't do the same to an Achuultani? Consider that an enhanced human was supposed to have something like 11 times the durability of an unenhanced human, and an unarmored enhanced human was stronger than an Achuultani wanted to mess with.
