Creationist bumper sticker
I saw this bumper sticker on the back of a van this morning. It said:
The Big Bang Theory.
God spoke and BANG it happened.
Fundie bitch.

Not necessarily. Most moderate Christians would subscribe to that as well. Which doesn't make the idea any more of a giant leap of logic.
"Big Bang theory!" *scrambles all over it like a dog humping a leg*
"Of course, MY God did it!"

I can understand Bean's reluctance.
Here in Tucson I've known people who've had "Darwin Fish" removed from their vehicles multiple times. I guess the Chrisitan fish is okay but anything supporting evolution (and mocking Christians) get's defaced.

I keep hearing about the Darwin fish but I've never seen it?

I'd assume it's the mocking mroe than the supporting. People are quite content to let you keep your beliefs until you start attacking theirs. I have little respect for Fundies who attack science (as in the inital post sticker), not do I have repsect for those who deliberately attack a religion for shits and giggles. It seems so...childish.Tsyroc wrote:I can understand Bean's reluctance.

It's the Jesus fish, but instead of Jesus it says Darwin inside. And it has feet, IIRC.Vympel wrote:I keep hearing about the Darwin fish but I've never seen it?

Yes, but there are equally valid explanations, such as the Easter Bunny shat out the universe.salm wrote:i have no problem with that. there´s no better explanation of how the big bang happened, so it can just as well have been god. chances are low of course but it´s not really relevant.

As for the Creationist
What...so much stupidity, so little time?
Somehow doesn't have the same effect.

Any books on this that are relatively easy to read (as in no calculus)?Archaic` wrote:Actually, there is. Read up on M theory. Very enlightening.salm wrote:there´s no better explanation of how the big bang happened, so it can just as well have been god.
Personally, I like the fish with the legs and the wrench, with EVOLVE written in the center. Good stuff.
