The renaming to "Neutral Bomb Run" will also help as it seemed that folks were getting confused about what the hell to do on alot of assult maps like that, even ones with a good rank.

I'm quite happy to see Team Slayer removed from Team Skirmish. Slayer tends to be either you love it or hate it gametype for most...
Yep, I'm a Big Team Battle freak as well. :D I love huge team-work games like that. I was getting sick of seeing Headlong every other game (or in my case one time.. 13 times in a row!!!!) I'm also glad to see Coag and Zanzibar more on it.

I like Team Slayer - a lot. But I guess you're right about it, and there's not much point of having it in Team Skirmish anymore if there's a specific playlist for just Team Slayer.

I remember I got sick of blood gultch on the first game. I thought it was a lame map. A sniper could own the anyone on the map.(Although I was the sniper sometimes  ) And thats all some of my friends wanted to play. But I like the changes. More cover and different weapons makes the map more enjoyable. The rolling hills are my fav. I can take the path to their base on a hog or something and they'll never see it comeing cuz of those big ol' hills.

That's why I always insisted on the tank being on the map. Does wonders for suppression fire when there's a sniper on the cliffs.

Yeah i remember those Bloodgultch CTF games when Link or my brother would sit on the hills near the bases and just spawn kill you. The new cover and bases work well to keep that from happening

You had to insist on having the tank in the game? No one i know plays without it. We played against some players that said the tank was cheap but i never understood that. You can get someone out of the tank pretty easy

Everyone else in my game said the tank was cheap. Someone getting in it was immediate call for everyone else on the map vs. that person until he either got out of the tank or was removed from it.

Which is lame, it's a legitimate weapon!

Though on of my earlier multiplayer games people were getting pissed and ganged up on me like that, saying the tank was cheap. Then other people kept getting in the Tanks and I happend to be near-by and promptly blew them away with my trusty rocket launcher! :D

Reminds me of a game I played last week. I killed some jackass with a rocket launcher and so he screamed "newb tube" for the rest of the game.

It does seem like there are more whinney bitch's this time around. Of course because we play online now you play against alot more people. I was playing Beaver creek the other day and i had the sniper rifle on top of the stone arch. I kept sniping people but they ignored me and fighting each other. One of the guys was pissed off at me because "I didn't fight like a man"? WTF does that mean, he stated that i was using a pussy weapon? A bunch of Bitchs

Nah, it wasn't them that got me sick of it. I actually had fun on the map when we all played. The only reason I kept dying was that I defended alot and sniped on comeing enemies. It's hard when theres three snipers and a worthog to deal with by myself. It was with the guys from school. They wouldn't play CTF. Only team slayer. Only blood gultch. Then, they'd have the most unfair teams on the planet. I played alot and got to be pretty damn good. But they'd stack the teams against me. I'd be on a team of nubs or people who just plain sucked. Then after the game, they'd be saying shit like "Where were you, Lt. Dan? Oh ya getting shot by me. haha" But, when they'd play different maps, I'd fuck them up. Everytime. My maps were chiron, chill out, damnation, and sidewinder. I love the fact that they didn't know where I was when I picked them of one by one.

I remember in damnation, it was 4v4 team slayer up to a combined score of 50. I had 27 kills. They got all hurt and left at 7:00pm when we usualy played 'till midnight or later. Pussies couln't stand loosing to me. :D

Whats worse is when you've got morons like that on your own team.

I've often stayed behind to apologise to the other team that we wanted nothing to do with that noob....

Its also particularly funny when you get a 10 year old screaming "Motherfucker! Gimmie my sword, bitch!" etc if you pick something up before them...

Yep, I've had a kid do that to me. Except he tried to melee me with his weapon, so I turned around and slashed him to death.

ugh, little kids like that are annoying as hell...

Anywho, speaking of Coagulation... I had some kick-ass games on it tonight... like team-slayer where I went 16 and 1... with a 15 kill kiling spree.

Or on Headlong with 16 player team slayer... I went 13 and 0. 8)

Then I decided to be insane. With still a full server, we switched over to Beaver Creek... and I decided to go on my own team..... me vs 15 others basically.

I ended up with nearly the least deaths, I had the most medals, and I managed a 10 kill killing spree. As a team I may have gotten last, but I had more kills than anyone! pwn3d!

heh

Oh, has anyone else gotten a killtrocity? (6 kills in less than 4 seconds.) I managed to pull it off... in a matchmaking game. Headlong, our flag carrier was returning, and to his right (my left, he was running towards my position.) and I noticed that nearly their entire team was there... including a ghost. I happened to be in a turret. I took them all out in less than 4 seconds... they never got close enough to him or me to even open fire.

I have indeed gotten a killtrocity. I was sitting in front of the gate in Zanzibar behind the turret of a gauss warthog, and the other team was less than thrilled to see me there. It helped that a bunch of them were sitting next to fusion cores.

I was playing in Rumble training last night so my guests could come on with me.

Anyway some retard named SwearingHippo started going on and on in the in-game lobby all loud and obnoxious-like about how he and his friends were going to rape everyone. He even singled out a few people (like me) named names and said we would be raped.

The results of making that sort of boast against the other players was.. predictable and needless to say that pretty much everyone he singled out for personal rape threats came in ahead of him in the scores (the hosting SH came in 4th place, his guests even farther down the rankings) and he and his friends became even bigger targets than the other players.

hehe, reminds me of the game tonight... the completely INSANE game we had on Foundation..... our team of 2 (someone switched to ours later) vs the red team... of 5 or 6 players?

We raped them 272 to 114 or so... that's right, *272.* I should also mention a few other things: it was swords and 'nades only.. .with an added bonus for total mayhem: Gauss hogs. Yep, on this small ass map.. guasshogs... when we, several times, took up to the top level (small area) and drove it at full speed, running people over left and right - they'd try to sit and toss nades, but we'd usually get a net of 20 kills or more before being taken down (between the running over and the gauss gun.)

Hell, I myself got nearly as many kills as their entire team did! (112)

If you look at the stats it's not totally correct, Cookie and both X-Shootas were on Red as well, and Alex in Va was on his own team, then switched later... the stats page doesn't account that it reset his score to 0 when he switched... you want to see insane though, just look at the game viewer!... and my *136* medals.

Then there's the Collosus game before that of Team Slayer (with random weapons).... our team of three (pink, just to piss people off!), blue's team of 6, purples team of 3, and red's team of 2..... we won that one too.

I had a good one the other night. I've been going to team training when the rest of my friends aren't on. It was a Team Slayer on Colossus. I had three kills, then the other guys started dying. Then I rounded a corner and my own team mate was standing there with a sniper rifle, stood there, then shot me. So a box pops up to kick him. I did. Unfortunately the other two guys were his guests. So it was me versus four other guys. I beat them by one point, but it was funnier then hell.

Well, I just got home from my first games online and here are my thoughts:

Unless I just played some lame-ass players, the games are too easy. I was kicking ass left and right. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good players out there, but the majority weren't as good as I had expected. I ran all the way back with the flag on coagulation CTF and even stoped to engage a worthog with a gunner on the damn thing and won, picked the flag back up and made it back to score. On team slayer matches, I felt like I was fighting all by my self. One match, we won by one point (50 kills) and I had 27 kills. Two of my team mates had one digit scores and the other was doing good, but come on. Out of the seven games I played I won each one with huge gaps in the scores and ended with large amounts of medals (17-21) in games where I didn't think I could. It was fun being a bad ass. :D

And is there something after running riot? I think I got a rampage somewhere in my 17 kill killing spree...

First of all... there's a medal for 20 kills, and one for 25 sprees.

Secondly, you need to keep playing to get your level up to play with similar skilled opponents. :P Really, it has a good ranking system and matches you up with similar skill-level people, which make for the best games.

Nothing makes my temper shoot through the roof faster than a sniper. My buddy used to rack up kills in the teens using the sniper rifle to the point where everyone made an agreement saying he was barred from using it in the future. The irritating part about a sniper is that if they hide properly and keep an eye on their radar, about the only thing that can bring them down is another sniper, which makes the game irritating as hell for people like me who prefer to blaze away at point-blank range.

Or on maps like Waterworks where I get up to these high places where after each time I fire I have a place to hide in that no one from anywhere can see me unless they walk up there...... the Banshee isn't even allowed to fly that high, so they have to land it, get out, and walk..... which means they're screwed, cause as they're landing I blow them away with the rocket launcher I also happen to have. Though unlike most snipers, on an objective based game I mostly do recon from those positions for my team, which is another reason I can sit there the entire game without ever being fired at. I'll only take shots that will have a significant outcome on the game. As for recon, I mean I can see almost *everything*, except the very center. This means I tell my team which direction they're attacking from and with what. And if they grab our flag I tell them which direction they went - with me up there, no one gets away free. Obviously I'll snipe the flag carrier if the oppertunity arises.

As for whiney bitches or people that talk shit and eat it, my lastest example is from yesterday while playing with a fellow SB member -

We were doing team training so that his guests could play too.

The game was teamball on Lockout. They had it for a good 30-40 seconds or so, and then I got it and hid on that little-known ledge. Their entire team must've run passed me 5 or 6 times as I sat there for over a minute. Then one of them found where I was:

"You think you're fucking cleaver, huh?!"

*he jumps over to start shooting me*

*THWACK*

*he goes flying off the edge after I beat him over the head with the ball*

"Well, you're fucking dead!" :P
