I'm guessing it has something to do with the article not saying 100% of all users develop symptoms, it said 6% increase for the chance of getting it, or if you already had it in you 25% of it manifesting.
6% then it's not 6% of smokers get but a 6% chance increase in risk, which is radically different.
And there's a name for this, nostalgic evidence or something like that.

But that doesn't prove anything, it's not a widespread study, it's one person, this is the failing of nostaligcal evidence, it's like when people say their parents or grandparents smoked their entire lives and never got sick, therefore any studies to the contrary are somehow wrong.

You mean anecdotal evidence. Any stories I say I've personally encountered about pot not leading to an increase in psychosis mean nothing next to an actual scientific study on the topic. That's anecdotal evidence.
